I think this is more elegant and simple solution. Invader choose terrain from defender choices, I would go further in eliminating the adjustment rolls. You place a terrain feature, it stays there.

I saw the Finnish Cav. after I posted the last comment, but the French Early 17th c.List was the first I looked at since the reference to Turenne Cav. in the Rule book.
My "War of Religion" book does not have any reference to Impact Mounted in the French list, so I am assuming a typo... so Chevaux ...

I think the change in the Macbeth army occur in 1050. At that time he went to Rome to visit the Pope, he returned with a body of Normans and it can only be logic that he bought some of the latest fashionable armor. He and his routine should be then be "Knight Lancers" as Normans of that time.
