Hey Design Team:
Can we get a sneak preview of what the Feudal Scots allies is going to look like?
I'm imagining lots of spear HF and POSSIBLY one BG of mounted (but probably not).

Feudal Scots
Viking (15mm)
Syracusan (15mm)
Palmyran (10mm - 15mm basing)
Horse Nomad (15mm)
Syracusan (15mm)
Palmyran (10mm - 15mm basing)
Horse Nomad (15mm)
Because in this example you're not talking about an ally, you're talking about a main Scottish army in a one off example, so I have a vague feeling RBS and his cronies aren't going to base the allies list on this battle. Could be wrong tho.simone wrote:Why not? At the Battle of Standard they had more knights than the English. Probably the only time in which Cavalry and Knights were significant in scottish armies.

I did not read it correctly. You were talking about allies.
My personal opinion in regards to allies is different than a simple extrapolation of the main list. In this Feudal period, it should include only the best troops. For example it is now a new common finding that most of the attacking forces in the Middle Ages wherever Anglo Saxons and or Picts were in fact mounted troops fighting on horses, same should apply few centuries later. If someone was going to invade or engage in a raid it should have been a mounted force of the best fitted elements: landless retainers, household warriors, bodygards...
