Break offs

I had a wierd thing happen. I had an enemy cavalry unit on my steady pike. The cavalry was facing one hexside to the left of straight up on the map. My pike was on its side. The cavalry then proceeds to break off directly to its own rear into a rear charge position! I would think that they would bre...

Aztec Fleshtone

Anyone have any suggestions for a fleshtone base color on Aztecs? I use Vallejo paints. I would like to make them vary from lighter to darker if possible.

Thanks,
Chris R.

Cohesion test modifiers

I noticed that the program is applying the cohesion test modifier for MF losing to mounted in the open for shooting tests. Is this correct? On the TT it only applies to close combat.

Thanks,
Chris Rivers

Worse yet they don't seem to fight well against anything in close combat.

Wouldn't the crossbow be at 4s to hit armored cavalry? Does not look like Xbw are - POA against any mounted.

I have thought the same thing about the knights in the Catalan list. I figured they would just slow you down or just get isolated and killed since you don't have many other really solid troops for the open spaces.

I have always thought they were fine against mounted (especially shooty types). That is why the XBw were in my initial list.

The crossbow were meant to be on the extreme ends to deal with enemy LH. We usually play within the same book, so I am looking at dealing with a bunch of LH from Ottomans, etc. This is what I have modified it to: 1. Greek Archers 2 Almughavars (x6) 3 Almughavars (x6) 4 Almughavars (x6) 5 Almughavars...

Yes, I have seen that thread. I just don't want to use the grass tufts if I can help it. They are mighty expensive.

Does anyone have an idea about how to make these? I was thinking about glueing a pile of small gravel together and painting the rocks white for the stucco.

There is a fabrics and crafts store in the US called Joann that stocks inkjet printable fabric. It is basically fabric bonded to a normal 8.5" x 11" sheet of paper. I leave the paper on the backing. There are different varieties, I think I use the silk. I have used them to make flags for m...

Aztec back banners

Did the Aztecs actually use the ornate back banners in battle or was it just a ceremonial thing? If they were used in battle, which troops would have had the banners?

Thanks,
Chris R.
