1. Cut the brass rod to the lenght you want. 2. take a hammer and flatten the end 3. cut the flattened end into a spear shape with cutters or just file it down 4. finish with a grinder I use a small hammer to do the bashing and a heavier one as an anvil, then a dremmel to do the shaping. Cheers Keith

How do I get a fresh download to install
Having recovered my serial I now need a version that will down load and work on my system. I have tried the large update 1.3.3 but this does not work returning a file corrupted error. I do not see any download option to allow this.

Zoltan They cannot evade from an intercept. Once they declare a charge that option is removed. I would argue that the interceptors can only make contact in the rear or flank if their path is unobstructed. In this case their path is obstructed(by the presence of the second nonn charging BG) and there...

Shifting
It can do one or the other in this instance. The rule is that no base can move more than a base width either to shift or drop back. If the unit had shifted to the right one base width and then dropped the right file then no base would have moved more than one base width, in your case one of the file...

Zoltan Yes I follow that line but what if the routing BG does not meet an obstruction and is pursued during the JAP phase when the autobreak only occurs at the very end of the turn. I know that the general could move away before that but if there were no friends close by and he was hoping to out dis...

Republican Roman 28mm Command packs Aventine
We have just released the final packs in our Republican Roman Range. These packs have the senior command figures on foot and could be made into some nice vignettes. http://www.aventineminiatures.co.uk/catalog/images/RR50.jpg http://www.aventineminiatures.co.uk/catalog/images/RR51.jpg The cavalryman ...

Direction of rout when unit is contacted front and rear
We have been discussing this issue at the local club. Where do you get the direction of rout for a MF unit in two ranks that has enemy to both front and rear. I mention MF as I have seen it said that they have room to turn 90 degrees and rout out one side. My question is why do they do that when the...

Reference GW ink wash. I have used the black wash on all my bronze and love the results. I use the flesh wash on a light flesh base for face and hands. GW stuff is easy to use and gives a reasonable finish quicky. I use them on both 15mm and 28mm. I bought the full set but have not found a use for m...

Quick one on conforming
Had a game the other night when one of my units charged two. It wheeled to allow it to contact one of the targets in the flank and then stepped forward into contact with the other. No problem yet. During my movement the question of conforming came up. The shortest sideways move to conform took my un...

Thanks Clavdivs didn't think about the pursuit contact being a charge and thus triggering the test for being already fragged. David53 the LH fragged unit was in combat to its front when it was contacted by the pursuiting unit and couldn't evade. Clavdivs, if we had tested and the LH had passed it wo...

Fragged unit charged in the flank during pursuit
We had a situation on saturday where we had several differing points of view. A cavalry unit routed a LH unit and during the pursuit in Joint Action contacted the flank of an already fragmented LH BG thus dropping it to Rout. The problem we found was deciding when the LH did its rout move and did th...

The Bg was not facing either unit in range and was approx 45degrees from each. He could have charged the non elephant Bg without being intercepted or having to contact elephants. As it it would have needed a ruling I think as to which was straighest ahead or closer but we did not go that far. I than...

Shock troops charging
While playing a game we came accross this situation, A shock mounted had two enemy BGs in charge range, one being elephants the other catafracts.. The rule allows them to aviod charging the elephants but do they then have to charge the other. If they had charged the second BG it not have involved co...

I agree with Lawrence, if a BG breaks as a result of shooting or being charged with FRG then surely it is better all round that they run for home ie their baseline or away from the cause whatever seems more likely. I know this will also have arguements against as not all such BGs will be facing away...
