I agree with Bee1976 and Predator42.
I bought this game the second it was green lit from Steam and I'm coming up on 200 hours.
The new Beta patch is very encouraging, the developers are listening.
So lack of support at least for now is a non-issue.

I have not tried to use counter magic yet, but I have tried "Disenchant Area" and "Dispel Magic". Disenchant Area didn't perform well the few times I tried it. I haven't have much luck with "Dispel Magic" either, but I remember the Strategy guide from the Original title...

I too like to utilize naval units. I build "ship chains" and space them apart according the the movement allowance per ship. That way, if I need to move non flying/water-walking units across water I can transfer them from ship to ship and get across most oceans in a turn or two. In regard ...

I second your stance on towers. Though their damage range is greatly impacted by the number of spell books a wizard has in each sphere. Therefore, Opponent Mages that go deep in a single sphere have towers that can easily one shot a unit or hero without good buffs. I find that it is less of an issue...

You are not the only one. I wish the concerned units would pause when encountering an obstruction instead of pathing around off the road. That way you could manually "drive" it through the other stack or city if there was room (less than 9 units on the square). On the flipside, I have not ...

I've seen a few bugs here and there, especially with sprites not being in a node but defending like they are buffed.
For the most part (with a few eye roll inducing exceptions) combat has been pretty smooth for me and everything has preformed/responded as expected.

I thought I was the only one. This is a maddening feature especially when utilizing ranged units.
