So I was playing with a bunch of slingers, they had adamant weapons so they were doing a lot of dmg against troops the but the combat log seems to be either lying or there's a bug.
For example my slingers dealt 23 dmg during an attack on a chaos spawn (in a node) which had had 8 shields/defense. Somehow I only did 5 damage to it. There's nothing to account for any reason that much damage should be prevented. Is there a change to the mechanics in this version of the game.
I had the same thing happen against a collossus which had like 10 shields and it was getting 21-26 dmg and only taking like 3-6 dmg. Something doesn't add up, anyone else seeing this?
Something wrong with combat math
Re: Something wrong with combat math
If I had to guess it feels like the enemy is getting to apply its defense to each attacking figure individually. That's the level of numbers I'm looking at. I've verified there are no other factors at play, and I've seen it against a number of enemies. It doesn't seem limited to slingers either.
I attacked Torin with about 13 shields with some really buffed hammerhands that rolled like 23 damage and he took 4. It just doesn't add up.

Re: Something wrong with combat math
I've also seen some weird stuff going the other way. I've had single figure units with like 10 attack do 20+ damage, at least that's what is shown on the screen.

They are bugged, two slingers are taking out baslisk with enchatments..
I was thinking its the luck rolls.
What ever it is,its over powerd.. old game youd be worryed abouta large grop of them, this game your worryed about one..

I'm not seeing this,as I posted I have the opposite problem where I have to do WAY more dmg than should be necessary to get anything through.
I can't really play this game until this gets addressed, it makes balance and combat unreasonable. I hope they can identify what's doing it and fix it soon.

Re: Something wrong with combat math
I've seen a few bugs here and there, especially with sprites not being in a node but defending like they are buffed.
For the most part (with a few eye roll inducing exceptions) combat has been pretty smooth for me and everything has preformed/responded as expected.
