Tactical Advice
Hi All Thank you for the feedback. Below are my comments on three suggestions I received. Niel Harmond's suggestion of the sweep and 90 degree turn is very good idea, but you need more infantry to implement it, and I do want change the composition of my army significantly. So thank you Niel, but I d...

Battle Report: Later Medieval Germans vs Mongols
Well my Later Medieval German Army attempted to vend off the Mongol horde and for their pains were throughly defeated. My plan had been to try and put the Mongols in between a rock and hard place. My forces would be too strong for him to attack. However, if his light horse attempted to do the shoot ...

5 general is a bit to much isn't it ? I think it was restrained to four. Wink Actually this incorrect. The list says you can have one C in C, who can be a inspired, field or tactical commander. You can then have up to two general who are field commanders and up to three generals who are tactical co...

Battle Report: Later Medieval Germans vs Medieval French

I forgot to take the camera, but I have drawn up some diagrams of the battle and taken photos of them instead. In army list below, you can see replace the battle wagons and artillery and ...

Thank you for your reply, it has answered my questions. A follow up question. Assuming my three knights that were step forward had instead only moved as far as the fourth knight, so all four knights were in line, could my opponent have wheeled the light horse to avoid the intercept charge of the kni...

Battle Report: Celtic British vs Macedonians
Hi All Below are photos of a battle between a British Celtic army, commanded by Richard Woolford, vs a Macedonian army, commanded by Craig Bryon. It was fought at Wellington Warlord's (in Wellintton New Zealand), along with three other battles of FoG this Saturday. Deployment and Initial Movement ht...

Website FAQ
I have the read FAQ on the website and it does not address any of the issues in my original post. 1) It does not have all of the rules relating to Battle wagons. For example, it does not have special rule dealing with the movement of battle wagons. 2) Having the page number of the rule you referring...

Feeding into Combat
Hi I have second question as a result of the battle my Medieval Germans fought against the Macedonians on Saturday. Can a player feed bases into a combat in the other players turn and if the the player whose turn it is does not feed any bases into combat? In our battle my knights had charged into hi...

Intercept Charges
In the battle of my Medieval Germans vs Craig's Macedonians my knights intercepted charged his light horse. I have two questions as a result of this 1) It says in bullet point eight of the rule, which deals with intercept charges, on page 31 of the beta rules, that an intercept charge "cannot i...

Re: Cohesion Markers
Hi
You can see photos of the cohesion markers I was referring to in my previous post. They are in my report on the battle of my Medieval Germans vs Macedonians. The URL is viewtopic.php?t=4802.

Flank March and Overlap
Yes there is a -2 for flank marches for the first turn and we missed it. His pikes should have charged in the impact phase, instead of advancing into combat. Well spotted and two rule mistakes by us, bugger.

Battle Report: Medieval Germans vs Macedonians
Well I had another battle with my Medieval Germans to today. I fought the Macedonians commanded by Craig Bryon and won. Deployment I lost the initiative. I deployed my crossbowmen on the left flank in front the steep hill. I had the battle wagons to right of them. Then there were my battle group of ...

Do certain troop rypes offer an overwhelming advantage?
Having knights in my one of my armies it to me appears they are just about right. I acknowledge that I have only fought three battles with this army. However, in all of my battles my opponents recognised the threat posed by knights and effectively countered it, in the first battle by using light hor...

Another rules mistakes
Hi All
I realise we made another rule mistake. My light infantry were fighting one dice per base in combat, they should have been fighting one dice per two bases.
Kind Regards
Sean
