While, in my opinion, FoG is a very good a set of rules it is not perfect . I believe that are some minor improvements that I can be made to it. I have listed these below. If would be interested to hear other peoples thoughts, suggests or comments.
I know the rule book is almost finished, so it is very unlikely these suggestions will make the first edition. However, they will give the rule designers a head start on improvements for re-prints of the rule book.
1) There are a number of specific rules for battle wagons in different parts of the rule book. They should all be combined in the special features section of the rule book.
2) The variable move chart should be on the movement section of the quick play sheet. There appears to be enough room to squeeze it in.
3) When it is written in the rules "See such and such a section" I would have the page number of the section you are referring to in the rules. For example, at the bottom of page 33, the last sentence, in version 6.0 of the beta rules I would have the wording "See the Combat Mechanism section on page 44 to page 55.
4) I suggest modifying the wording of the conforming rules page 34 and 35 to make them clearer. I would add the would 'all' to the first sentence, re-wording it as follows:
"At the start of the the manoeuvre phase, the active player's battle groups already in close combat with enemy must (if this is physically possible) pivot and/or slide bases by the minimum necessary to conform to all enemy bases in contact:
I would also add another bullet point with wording to the affect that "battle groups the conform must remain in contact with all of the enemy bases they were in contact with at the start of the manoeurve phase".
Improvements to FoG?

Since the rumors are they went to print on the first edition already...
Also presuming you are looking at a beta test set of rules, remember there are a number of graphic and textual changes that happened before printing. Have you gotten all the changes since the the 6.0 beta rules were sent to you? There is a sticky on this in the beta section.
However I think i can say for all of us that we are committed to supporting FOG with a good website. We took the decision not to clog the rulebook up to mucyhb with detail for the comp player but instead to issue expanded explanations on the web. You will see for instance a set of BWg "expansion" on the website soon.
So all such feedback very helpful still even if they will not make the "inked" version first time around.

Yes indeed first draft up on the site. Probably issue two with finalised versions for Bwg going up soon. First of series of more expansive interps - more a fleshing out of the rules than anything (not new rules or clarifcations per se but rather putting detail between the lines where it is needed).

Website FAQ
I have the read FAQ on the website and it does not address any of the issues in my original post.
1) It does not have all of the rules relating to Battle wagons. For example, it does not have special rule dealing with the movement of battle wagons.
2) Having the page number of the rule you referring someone to in the rule book would enhance the rule book and would take up very little space.
3) Inserting just the word 'all' in first sentence of the rule to do with confirming would make an important rule much clearer and again would take up very little space.
To sum up these changes would make the rules clearer and easier to understand, and would take up a small amount of additional space.
