Anglo-Dutch Danish troops

If you take the Army in Ireland you can have double the amount of Danish troops, does this mean yo can have 2 Superior BG's of Danish foot and 2 Average?

Mounted POA vs. Dragoons, Light Foot & Unprotected shot

Hi There,

Do Mounted get the Impact POA vs. Dragoons, Light Foot & Unprotected shot in the open only, or in any terrain, or fighting across fortifications?

Many Thanks,

Mark

Artillery Movement & Unlimbering

Is it possible for limbered artillery with a general to make 2 moves then take a CMT test to unlimber in the same turn?

Re: infantry firing and dice

OK thanks for the quick reply. Does a unit in extended line spread its 4 firing dice across all targets to its front or can it concentrate it firing over a 2 base frontage?

Re: infantry firing and dice

Does an infantry unit in extended line shoot its full dice for each half of the line at medium range?

E.g. Reformed foot with skirmishers firing a total of 8 dice?

Nooby question on protection

Hi There,

I'm building a late Anglo-Dutch army with BG's of 5 shot and 1 Pk.

The Pk is in the rear rank, so do the front ranks count as 'protected'?

Wheeling within 6" of enemy

Sorry for this completely noob question, but is it the case that you can only wheel a BG within 6" of an enemy if the BG or battleline has a general with it?

They are for 15mm or 25mm.

Let me know where to send them and I will send you the additional rules that I have created as well.

Knightly Orders

Let me know if you would like to play-test any of these.

New Troop Types

Hi All, I see a number of new troop types that need to be incorporated into a fantasy version of FOG. I have written rules for all of these, their POA interations, movement rules, etc. Flying Behemoths - Dragons, etc Flyers - Eagles, Griffin Riders, etc Flying Vehicles - Dwarf Zepplins, High Elf Air...

Points cost for foot with Light Spear

Considering how useful Light Spear is for foot, is there a strong argument for making it cost at least 1 point? Dom Romans may lose a BG by doing this... Thoughts?

More seriously, MF bow and longbow get an impact phase benefit from the second rank shooting in impact. If HW foot withstand the impact phase they do all right. It feels like a good interaction to me. OK That makes sense Ok then lets look at all the poa's then for HW why would HW get a + POA in imp...

I'm not convinced!

If Light Spear get the POA in impact because it is thrown, then why not Bow or Longbow?

What are people's experiences in playing HW aganist Mounted, particulalrly lancers?

Does it seem to work out as it did historically?

So do they not get the POA because it conflicts with Edward Woodward’s understanding of the relationship between Cataphracts fighting Huscarls?

Interesting...
