Hi
much as I am enjoying Swifter than Eagles (probably my favourite DLC so far ) - are there plans to cover the far east and the meso-american options (the tabletop game had them IIRC ) part of me really wants the Olmec and Aztec battles
many thanks

Re: How to deal with sus cheaters or really bad rng in multiplayer?
We're just going to have to agree to mostly disagree here, having had the same debate elsewhere. RNG exists, yes, but IMO it's rarely the decisive factor in a match and I personally would hate to change it away from true RNG. that is kind of the thing being pointed out here - if you (a very good pl...

Re: Supply Wagon needs buff
could they provide a bonus to morale to units nearby ? (been a few years since I played the tabletop game and cannot remember if they were in that )
They do seem pretty resiliant an unlikely to be pushed back so can anchor a flank a little ?

Re: terrain visibility
So with the terrain I have found (I had a bit of a work at it with the mouse to scan over) Woods - absolutely no issue for me Hills - maybe (and it might be already an option) but in the graphics set a higher contrast/shadow for the hills rocky ground - this one was particularly bad - it was hard to...

Is there anyway to change the difficult terrain colour ?
I am Colourblind and have almost no ability to see some of the difficult terrain (woods are fine - I completely miss where hills are and also some difficult terrain )

I would definitly suggest a nomad army for that (generic nomads can be used for Huns, various chinese nomads, mongols, khazars, etc and used historically against Romans, Chinese, byzantines, arabs, medevials, samurai) and if you are not too subjective could cover skythians as well matching up agains...

firstly, my usual regarding of the dismounting rule is frustration trying to recreate arbedo (have to buy extra knights and dismount some as a reserve) however this is the only reference I can think of of dismounting during a battle. would a rule to say all dismounters must be declared before deploy...

v 2.0 army lists
firstly i would say let the version 2 rules dry run a little while before amending the lists, just to check the new rules implications (but then from experience i would expect this of the FOG team) as to lists, I would be inclined to look at all the barbarian lists (they seem far more bland than act...

To be hoest i think a number of medevial polearm troops are better represented in the game as spear ( probabaly offensive spear as they were generally better troops than the spear levies) but that is a case by case basis mostly for those that habitually fought off mounted and they loose this option ...

I have used Hunnic cavalry (cav ptd, sup bw swd undr) as allies for my sassanids. worked okish ...

why the FC. Not sure how it fits the doctrine. in period the armies you are likely to have to deal with are sassanids (undrilled in period) huns picts palmyrans and other romans. Huns are typical shooty cavalry and will be a reasonable match i think. Other romans will try and avoid your cavalry whil...

ok i think the problem may be more subtle than it appears . the issue i can see is that while the top level players find the armies pretty even, those of lesser skill (such as myself) find it easier to use certain armies, and the steppe types are one of the easier ones to get to grips with (get open...

ianb Is that with or without serbians? ;-) Actually in regards to ally commanders if you design the army well they are not that bad. For example syrian city states army i use has a crusader ally with 6 crusader knights , 4 crusader crossbow and 4 spear. The l.ast 2 bgs sit by the camp having been de...

There are answers to the light horse etc (cheers to dave r etal who have mentioned solutions) However a fair number of better players including some who were involved in development like playing light horse armies this makes them seem bet...

the level of skill and equipment is more reflected by superior and armour quality rather than offensive or defensive spear. Defensive spear mearly indicates no tendancy to charge in in spearwall formation. poor protected italiote hoplites should not be tangling with later german armoured mercenaries...

I'm fairly sure Alexander fought the skythians , I'll check my Arrian to see if i can figure out more info, but i seem to rememebr fighting them while crossing a river and using artillery to cover the crossing....of course i can't see us re-creating that encounter ;-) I suggested macedonians for thi...
