My note - this is a real solid development. There should be a lot of feedback from a tournament environment that might be more meaningful in at least some ways than feedback from casual play. People do things in cut-throat games (at least this side of the pond) that they might gloss over under more ...

Russian Civil War and interventionists? But (not to put a damper on the enthusiasm)... I would prefer to wait and see what the mechanics of FoG-R and FoG-N turn out like before suggesting ANY further ventures. Something that works very well to capture ancient and medieval battles in tabletop miniatu...

Re: Hussars and pancerni
Probably at some scale yes. But certainly rather different element types within the BG.o54881 wrote:I believe that hussars and pancerni were in the same Battle Group.

I'm adding to this old thread because I wonder if I can find answers to a couple of questions. 1) At Hastings the Royal Huscarls were formed up on foot in the front rank of the English army. Does FoG provide a mechanism whereby this deployment is simulated, i.e. the elite professionals used to give...

Macedonians
Yet another Alexandrian Macedonian list. No big suprises, probably roughly similar to many others. I went more for what I see as historical representation (in my own mind) than as an open tournament winner. I am probably limiting this to playing roughly in period (say stuff only from Rise of Rome or...

quick off hand observation from a complete and total noob... in the unlikely event I understand the rules correctly... you have 12 bg's so would break on losing 6. the camp, fortified or not, would count as 1 of those 6 - and that is all it is doing for you. another BG of _anything_ in place of the ...

Montgisard (forgive sp, not even sure I do not have the name confused with another battle) circa 1170's I believe A Templar army fought Saladin, forget who won for sure but I think the battle resulted in Saladin turning back and going home for the campaign season someone else can look up the details...
