Re: berlin gc45 (and redux)
I am in the process of planning my advance. I know where Rokossovsky and Chuikov are to be found, but where is Zhukov and what kind of unit is he using?

Re: Revised Campaign Path
Now, this is really strange ... I replayed the last turn of the Stalingrad scenario, and this time I was duly passed on to "Along the Volga". I really don't know what's going on there ...

Re: Revised Campaign Path
Okay, so I won Moscow and Stalingrad and was allowed to chose the fictional campaign path, but ... although the charts show a scenario "Along the Volga", I was directly taken to Kuybishev. Could someone explain?

Re: Revised Campaign Path
Agreed!... I myself have 'sensed/premonition' that what you describe could happen, so... therefore... then If I had the time left... I would also usually take all of the secondary objectives. But Yes!!!... this information needs to be clearly spelled out to the player... without being carelessly le...

Re: Revised Campaign Path
Are you serious?! I have won Stalingrad, I have taken all primary and secondary objectives, I have a lot of prestige left, and now I'm told: "Sorry, old chap, but you should have taken all those secondary objectives in Moscow, too!" This is ridiculous! I am frustrated, and I feel like I wa...

Re: Fall Weiss Scenario
This is a game, not history, and the scenario notes make it explicit that the developers intended to present Fall Weiß on a heretofore unseen level of complexity. The map is much bigger than any other I have played so far on the standard campaign path (I'm in front of Moscow now), and the computer e...

Re: Battle of Britain is out!
The 2015 map of Europe is really silly, if not pathetic. Remembers me of the Panzer Corps GC where the Wehrmacht had to invade Breslau in 1939 before someone fixed this embarrassing bug.

Custom-made unit designation?
Playing the German version of Soviet Corps at the moment, I am somewhat annoyed by the wrong translation of "Guards" into "Wachen" instead of "Garde". Is there any way to change the original data, and if so, where do I find the appropriate file?

Does Bulgaria ever enter the war?
I have now played CTGW as the Entente two times (starting in 1914 and 1915) and as the Central Powers once (starting in 1914). In all three cases, Bulgaria refused to enter the war just a few turns before it was supposed to do so. What factor could have scared them off? And why cannot they enter the...

Re: Soviet Corps - new units suggestions
This question has already been discussed at length. It is unlikely at the moment because this game will be available soon: http://www.slitherine.com/games/order_of_battle_pacific.

Re: Halftracks or Trucks?
Halftracks may be more expensive than trucks, but they afford your troops more protection and more mobility. Speed can be essential in winning some scenarios. By the summer of 1942, I had all my infantry equipped with the leSPW. The bigger artillery guns need the SdKfz 7 anyway, so they can keep the...

Re: 3rd Medal
The third slot for the German player may be the only empty one, but it is still much more difficult to reach the highest German medal as there are seven possible medals in all (compared to five Italian and three British / American). The highest medal I was able to reach so far were the Brillanten , ...

Re: Save Games
Okay, so I understand the concept of CW II save games now (although I still think it is needlessly cumbersome), but after playing another few days, the game crashed when I saved my latest game, and it is now no longer possible to load formerly saved games. Even after I completely re-installed the wh...

Save Games
The manual says: "If you hit the Esc key while on the main map, you will be returned to the Main Menu where you can save and/or quit the game in progress." But if I do that, there is no "save" button in the main menu, only a "load" button. The only way I found to save a...

Re: Soviet Corps - new units suggestions
Of course, if later war battles involving Finnish troops should be included, they should get German weaponry too, just as the Hungarians in the GC did. As there is no Pacific Corps yet, alas Soviet Corps will be missing the Khalkhin Gol / Nomonhan battle.

Re: Soviet Corps - new units suggestions
For the German translation, please use an interpreter with military knowledge this time. Seeing "Wachen" instead of "Garde" made me laugh my *** off.
