Custom-made unit designation?

Post by Turboheizer »

Playing the German version of Soviet Corps at the moment, I am somewhat annoyed by the wrong translation of "Guards" into "Wachen" instead of "Garde". Is there any way to change the original data, and if so, where do I find the appropriate file?

Hello Turboheizer, if you go to the location were the game is installed, navigate to '\Panzer Corps\Localization\de\Data' . There is a file called 'equipment.pzeqp', this is the German version of the equipment file. You can open it with MS Excel or Notepad, the unit you are looking for is all the way down, nr. 1152. If you change it your Multiplayer games will be flagged because you are now playing with a 'modified' equipment file, though.

As this is such a small change I've edited the file for you already, please rename your old one (to have a backup) and unpack this .zip directly in that folder. If you ever update the game the file will be overwritten again so you might want to keep the zip somewhere safe.
