Okay, so I won Moscow and Stalingrad and was allowed to chose the fictional campaign path, but ... although the charts show a scenario "Along the Volga", I was directly taken to Kuybishev. Could someone explain?

"Turboheizer post:" a scenario "Along the Volga", I was directly taken to Kuybishev. "What you see... is... what you get!"

Kerensky or Rudankort could best explain this... "But!"... I had the same experience". I believe that... that is what there is... it is in-fact!..."a scenario Along the Volga"... that you will now experience!.

From this point on... "Expect!!!"... "Overwhelming numbers of 'Ruskies'...with no seeming limit in sight!"

I have won Stalingrad twice and each time went to "Along the Volga", which is a 'Stalingrad' scenario.

Have you edited the 'scripts.lua' file?
Do you have a save at the end of Stalingrad?
It may be a bug of some sort.

For the record "Along the Volga" is the scenario with AI Aux units on your side, so it is easy to remember if you played it.

Now, this is really strange ... I replayed the last turn of the Stalingrad scenario, and this time I was duly passed on to "Along the Volga". I really don't know what's going on there ...

Seriously, how on earth does checking my bank account actually matter? Why is it the case that selling some of my units at a certain point makes it possible to win the war... yet keeping them and/or keeping their experience high with elite reinforcement and/or upgrades is the decision that makes you not be able to win the war? It literally makes no sense no matter how you look at it. You are doing things that would actually help you lose the war, in order to win it.
I would argue with this point, while I agree with the rest.
Prestige is not money. It means your superiors are more likely to grant you more supplies, better equipment than the rest of the officers under them, and listen to your opinion.
This time, you're asking the generalissimuses to do something that they think is crazy. Let you keep fighting and supply you with everything they have, risking a total collapse would you fail. You're asking them to take a BIG risk, just because you won every time so far.
"All right, herr general, we will allow you to do that, at the Fuhrer's personal request. But you must know - should you fail, even your friendship with our beloved Fuhrer won't save you from the firing squad!"
"Selling" units also makes sense. "Look, if you are willing to hold this line for me for 2 more weeks, I am reinforcing you with an artillery and two of my best panzer companies. Deal?"

Reminder, a simple edit to a text file and you will be paid to take the Fictional path.
May I point out that there are several typos on the chart? Check the dates for Kiev and Rostov, and also Moscow 43.
