Aventine makes a dead elephant fig if you want some pike killing an elephant.

They were made of Iron or in some cases wood but the wood ones were tightly wrapped down its entire length with rope so unless your mini has rope modeled on the fig I'd paint it iron.

As many people have found out 25mm scale HF rarely fits very well on the standard base sizes. Since I can't cram the figures on the standard base size would most people prefer 4 figures to a 30mm deep base or 3 figures to a standard size base? Which option would you prefer your enemy to be using ...

I've never heard of Pentacon but I only live about 2 hours from Fort Wayne. Is Pentacon large/small? Does it have a lot of historicals?

Personally I would definitely keep two cavalry units, forget the LH and if you need to skirmish put your cavalry in a line. My LRR army which seems to work out well is:

I don't know if there are any manufacturers that make lead free minis. I think you'd have to make sure you keep them out of reach from the children.

Wow 22 BG's! I'd love to see how this army works out. You'd have loads of firepower but I would think all that unprotected foot would suffer greatly from getting shot themselves not to mention 3 generals would have their hand full trying to keep up the cohesion for this many BGs.

Another question, the armor I see many of the longbowmen wearing, an example would be the center archer on pg 8 of Storm of Arrows, what is that linen colored stuff made out of. Is it some type of cloth armor.

I painted my Sassanid dome hats the same color. I think its because that Total War game has them that color.
