He quite liked the idea as he thought it might annoy GW. I just need to find the time.

In the meantime I have some Khurasan bears for Tomorrows War and we can now say that
they look great in pink.

I have one of these, but am not what you might call a top tier player....actually more a crap tier player. I tend to never have enough time to paint an army, and playing...well that's a space time problem, particularly with commitment to a new business....

So that's me and here's my experience ...

Looks like you want something more natural. I use little bits of some old Heather plant wood for natural and dead wood on my bases and models. Problem with this stuff is that its not very hard wearing.

If you want to play a game that simulates military history you have to work with what you get.

To be fair , most of our sources on the Persian army are from Greek properganda....well maybe a bit strong, but they are mostly greek and mostly not eye ...

Will, you may want to ask yourself is he best used to support and upgrade a weaker BG in combat rather than an elite BG. That way you potentially have 2 strong BG's rather than a very strong BG and a weak BG.

Thanks very much for all the replys, I have not played elites and was under the impression that they didn't get any advantage for a general in combat. So just wanted to know where I would stand with them.

Ive got the same prob.... I'll try a clean load without 1.06.

It's taken me about 40 mins in all so far , not that much out of my life and if I can't get it to work i'll reload to v.1.12.

I drill loads of my models, and use thin brass wire for the pikes/ spears. I use a black and decker cheap cordless drill.......i.e a cheap normal drill. I use the smallest drill bits from Heresy http://www.heresyminiatures.com/

I use a lowish drill speed, and be careful to keep the bit going in ...

I've just finished painting a unit of medieval cav and they have this mix and Essex....They look fine together.

Definitely multi ,part and separate spears, but must be able to make good and lasting bonds when glued or pinned. This allows for greater variety and a much more dynamic mini.

I have yet to try this , but was thinking of black mixed with a little gun metal and bolt gun metal picking out the lines of some of the edges.

I have been loading my FOG PC onto the laptop. Everyhthing so far has gone ok, apart from the Immortal Fire pack, which says it is getting the wrong serial number. I cut and paste all the serials into a document, so it should be the serial that was used to load the pack on the main computer ...
