I use heavy foot in just about every army I play and do pretty good with them. The key is to make a combined arms list and just have heavy foot, but Romans are a very tough list.

Yeah, but you can't move a base that is already in a fighting position except to move up because the one in front is dead. So that would stop the overlap base from moving wouldn't it.

Hammy I think you said what I was saying. As long as the bases in over lap are in a fighting position you can't remove those bases until all the second rank is removed, removing second rank fighting overlap last. Completely different if you have overlap bases that aren't fighting. And No I didn't ha...

He did make a list for them in our campaign game. So I think he atleast skimmed over the list.

Thanks it's clear as mud now. No seriously I get it if any part of the MF is in the open then it is counted as in the open for the cohesion test, correct.

We had a question come up this weekend and in a previous tournament.
If you have a BG of MF half in terrain and half in the open fighting HF or Mounted does the MF have a - for losing combat for being in the open or are they counted as in the terrain.
