So basically, the Thracians are allowed only 0-18 stands of Hoplites (HF, Protected, Average, Drilled, Offensive Spear) per this clarification since there is the single line having the word mercenaries in it and any other option that does not have a specific nationality listed in the list. Seems incredibly restrictive based on how the list is written. But that is just my opinion.rbodleyscott wrote:Correctgozerius wrote:Greek Mercenary ally means that only those bits on the Greek Allies list which are described as "mercenary" or not belonging to a specific city can be used. Spartans are not possible.

No, it means they must have 6-24 Hoplites of which 0-18 can be upgraded to drilled. They may take any of the Greek ally options that are limited to Mercenaries or that are not restricted to a speciic city, e.g. they can take 0-4 cavalry as non-Thessalians from 450.berthier wrote:So basically, the Thracians are allowed only 0-18 stands of Hoplites (HF, Protected, Average, Drilled, Offensive Spear) per this clarification since there is the single line having the word mercenaries in it.rbodleyscott wrote:Correctgozerius wrote:Greek Mercenary ally means that only those bits on the Greek Allies list which are described as "mercenary" or not belonging to a specific city can be used.
