First game but played the old MoM extensive but not for a very long time.

I've got resources outside of my cities catchment area. How do I access them?

Can the catchment area be increased and or can I mine farm them etc.

A full explanation on how they work would be appreciated. I worked out it's something to do with fleets but how, what, why, when, anything would be appreciated. Another example of no writen infomation.

What are the pros and con of the various fight formations?

All I want to do is tell a farmer to farm a hex with +2 not +1. How the heck do you do that???? Very, very frustrating.

This a general beef on the quality of game manuals. The example here is from Polaris Sector but it is by no means restricted to that. Stop using the automatic train/truck movement for some units. Number of times I've not paid attention to rail/road and found myself moving where a train/truck should not be. OK my fault but I bet I'm not the only one.

As far as I know you can't unlock everything, and difficulty gives you zero bonuses. All the special bonuses happened in real life following roughly the timeline in the game so you should be able to unlock them all during any campaign. Thinking about it, why are they there at all in a game based on...

Just finished playing US Marine campaign. At the end I still had not uncovered 6 of the still remaining specializations despite winning all the scenarios

Does playing at a higher difficulty give you more points?

US marines opening scenario.

One secondary victory is to destroy the seaplane base on Tulagi. How's it done. Once the unit on it is destoyed by any means you can only capture it, you can bomb it, blow it up or do anything to it. I must be missing something obvious.

Wierd. Playing Morning Sun lastest patch. I'm using one mouse controls and have not changed any controls since installing. Can you undeploy a unit once the scenario has started? For instance swap a fighter unit for bamber once you realised the fighter is needed more than a bomber.
