Re: Westwall DLC - Feedback
Put it on an M7 I guess and hope for the best if you happen to then place this unit on hills. This is one of the heroes that will rarely come useful without some extra help which is other heroes that add range, camouflage, or rely on favorable terrain placement. The biggest issue is, that even if yo...

Re: Recon planes question
Actually, the Fw 189 Owl does have a meager attack capability. It was originally designed as a light bomber and I pushed hard for its introduction into the game some years ago (along with a couple of other people). As I recall, the company rep asked for a good rationale to include it into the game ...

Re: "Unit Packs" DLC idea
The devs might like to consider producing simple little 'Unit Packs' (not big Campaigns) that we can use in the Editor and Random Mission Generator, I'd be glad to help with historical data and testing etc. At the moment, the only nations available in the Editor are USA, Germany, Russia and Britain...

Re: Are retreats in random directions and distances?
After 2000 hours thats still a thing I might never understand. There are so often situations when an unit is retreating in the worst possible direction without any reason. Imo you could call this feature at least a little bit buggy ;) Perhaps retreats (and possibly other things) have been changed i...

Re: Are retreats in random directions and distances?
Do units retreat in random directions and random distances? For example (below) my infantry unit was at position '1', but after being clobbered by the AI units from the white arrows, he retreated three hexes along the green arrow to position '2'. Is there any reason why he didn't retreat in another...

Re: Panzer Corps 2: Elite - 1st Guards | Announcement
The price point and lower scenario count is fine. There can be multiple DLC types with different focus that coexist. We have this small, focused Elite series, there's Frontlines with its standard size, there are now linked campaigns in the works that we know of and then there's also the potential fo...

Re: Map edge supply
This is still, pun intended, and edge case. Should not come up that often and I feel that since we cannot represent the entire globe, giving the border edges be source of supply and affecting the way units can be encircled is a fair compromise. I don't see a reasonable alternative within the game ru...

Thanks guys, I've always been a maths dummy so am still processing your replies..:) Below: here's another pair of screenshots which i'll toss into this playpen for scrutiny by this forum's holy men, my unit in the left pic has zero suppression and is fresh as a daisy (small yellow circle at bottom ...

Re: Replacement points advice needed
Basically always worth the trouble to add replacements unless you have Avenger and/or Prudent heroes and want to utilize those. In case of concern concern about about retreating/surrenders, an attack needs to kill 66% of unit's unsuppressed strength to cause a retreat, so this would not influence th...

Re: Westwall DLC - Feedback
This is not a scenarios specific thing. While I never experienced it myself, I saw similar reports in the past for various scenarios. Was it raining around the turn this occurred? It was raining : Plane.jpg Rain and some other factors seems to sometimes affect aircraft behavior in specific ways: - ...

Strange behavior of enemy aviation (METZ scenario): Why is this German plane going to an enemy airfield ? In any case, he was poorly received by the local DCA (controlled by the AI). Re: Map edge supply
Wouldn't work due to the way supply is applied. If you cut off map edges, you can just focus down supply points and create "encirclements" by pinning the defenders to the edge, even if realistically there's a whole part of the country controlled by them behind that section that can be the ...

Re: Panzer Corps 2: Elite - 1st Guards | Announcement
Another would be Fallschirm-Panzer-Division Herman Göring, but with him being such a prominent Nazi I wonder if that is a bit too close to home as well. A third Panzer Division that was elite was the Panzer-Lehr Division. However, it had a rather short and unsuccessful history unlike Großdeutschlan...

Re: Panzer Corps 2: Elite - 1st Guards | Announcement
As I understand it, it will have nothing in common with the real Soviet Guards Corps that once existed ! ? I wouldn't worry about it too much, as Kerensky already proved with Ghost Division he does his research in detail. The access to Soviet sources is likely much worse, but still should be faithf...

Re: How does the encirclement work in Kiev North?
Yes, map edges give supply just as supply hexes do.PoorOldSpike wrote: ↑Mon Oct 20, 2025 3:25 pmSpeaking of supply, correct me if I'm wrong but the hexes along all 4 map edges in all campaigns and scens are supply sources?smashtheaxis wrote: ↑Sat Oct 18, 2025 8:41 pm Thanks, that was the solution. I thought they could not supply from the West for some reason.
