We’re excited to announce Panzer Corps 2 – Allied Operations: Italy Vol. 1, the first chapter of a new grand Allied trilogy covering the liberation of Italy from the invasion of Sicily to final victory.
In Allied Operations: Italy Vol. 1, you will command the British Eighth Army and the US Seventh Army during Operation Husky, the massive amphibious assault that opened the road into Europe’s southern flank. Fight across Sicily’s rugged terrain, break through Axis defensive lines, and push both armies toward a converging offensive against the retreating German and Italian forces.
This DLC features two parallel campaign paths that eventually merge into a unified Allied advance. Build and carry over your veteran core forces, use historical heroes, earn Commendation Points for unique rewards, and deploy new obstacles and fortifications such as hedgehogs, barbed wire, pillboxes, and machine-gun nests.
Begin the Allied liberation of Italy and shape the opening phase of a campaign that will continue across the entire Italian front.

Nice! A really quick announcements considering that Guards DLC is still really fresh, but a welcome one, as more allied content is always welcome.
That said, if my understanding of earlier video talks is correct and this is done by the same team as Frontlines - Cyrenaica, then by all that's sacred, please ease of on the heroes! The ones in Cyrenaica were simply too powerful and given that this is excepted to be a multi-DLC series, it is even easier to reach an absurd power threshold. Make them feel unique and powerful, but not bend the entire gameplay around their presence (especially multiple Provocator). Some additional testing of the scripts would also be welcome as the bugs in Cyrenaica never got fixed put to this point, unless it is just me and I was unlucky for some reason, or unless I missed some update that did that.

I like the way heroes worked in the Guards campaign, where you choose traits after accomplishing a stretch goal. Given the terrain in Italy stretch goals can be made really difficult. I'd also be wary of too *few* heroes as they give the core personality, and that's one of the things that makes PC2 more interesting than a lot of other games.Tassadar wrote: ↑Tue Dec 09, 2025 8:34 pm Nice! Guards make it way too easy to bank prestige, that should not happen in Italy where all the resources go to D-Day first in real life. Prestige limits and terrain should be key to making it suitably difficult.

The announcement didn't make it clear: are the heroes "banked* from the Poland campaign going to be imported here?
It's kind of odd that Italy is the first Allied Ops, as historically the formations used mostly started combat in Africa; it seems like that would be the natural beginning point for Allied AO
