Re: Portugal hosts The Worlds 2015
Hi, Dave told me there are a few people arriving early and looking for some sightseeing. We have nothing official scheduled for Thursday, but in case there's anyone interested, I live in Torres Vedras and I'll be making a local tour on a Napoleonic theme during this Thursday. If you are interested, ...

The venue is confirmed, as Museu de Marinha, the same place where ITC was held last year.

Re: Lusitania Challenge Annoucement 5 and 6 July 2014
Thanks for the support Dave
.
In this moment we have prospect players from US, UK and Spain. We want to make this a great event and a great time for those who come. For the others... well, they can always hear the stories.

Re: International Team Challenge 2013 Sept 7/8
Hi, I have some more news regarding the guided tour on Friday, September 6th. The general idea is to bring people to a guided visit to several Forts there were part of the Lines of Torres Vedras in the morning. We'll have a nice lunch at a local restaurant and in the afternoon we'll visit the Interp...

Re: Visibility behind a crest
Thanks for the explanation Phil. So if this group would be placed in ambush behind a crest, it could only see 1 MU to the other side, otherwise it would be visible itself, and the ambush would not be possible at all, correct?

Visibility behind a crest
Hi, A unit is behind a crest on a hill. This unit will be visible only from the other side of the crest at 1 MU. The question is: if this unit is touching the crest, at what distance can this unit see, to other side? A - 1 MU only? B - No limitation, as the unit is actually on top of a hill? Or putt...

Re: International Team Challenge 2013 Sept 7/8
They'll never prove a thing. All the exhibits looked broken !! I see... This gives me a hint regarding the recommended places to take you guys: Castles and forts, centuries old, made of hearth and stone should be ok. Museums with nice but breakable things are a no go. Oh dear.... F...

Re: International Team Challenge 2013 Sept 7/8
It's true that many Museums are closed on Mondays in Portugal. But not all of them! Museu Militar is indeed closed on Mondays. That is really worthy a visit, and we can eventually include it on Friday's tour, but many of you have been there already, so we'll do it only if there are enough people int...

Re: International Team Challenge 2013 Sept 7/8
Hello again, As the ones who attended recall, last year we organized a guided visit to Museu Militar on Friday afternoon (although some of you may have a nicer memory of Solar do Vinho do Porto that we visited afterwards :D ). This year, if there are enough people interested and available, we can or...

Re: International Team Challenge 2013 Sept 7/8
Hi, One small clarification regarding the place of the event. It will not be at Cordoaria Nacional as at some point previewed, but at Museu de Marinha, the same place where it has been done lately. However, we'll have a different, and much nicer, room available. The games will be held at Pavilhão da...

Re: Partly disordered
Thank you for all the replies. It's clear for me now. For combat purposes the status should be considered by base. So what matters is if the front counts as steady or not, for the discussion above. Where the status of the unit as a whole is considered, for movement purposes or to influence others, t...

Partly disordered
Hi, A situation happened in a recent game where a unit of pikes, four rank deep, had one of the rear corner bases in rough terrain, while the rest of the unit was in open. In a close combat situation (against enemy in the open) the files completely outside the rough terrain will fight with two POAs ...

We are trying in this moment to get, for this year, a guided tour to the Museu Militar de Lisboa The visit to the Military Museum is now confirmed. Here's the cunning plan: Durig the morning there will be people from AJSP finishing up the setup of the venue place at Museu da Marinha (in Belém). The...

Venue location
Hi, I'm not sure if this subject was discussed here and if all players are aware of this. The venue for the ITC 2011 in Lisboa, is NOT the same as in previous years. This time the event will be run at Museu da Marinha, also situated in the Belém area. For those staying at Pensão Setubalense, this is...

Hi, So far we have only four people from abroad who stated their interest/availability to participate in this organized tour. We can wait until next Sunday 21st too see if we can make this viable.
