The cursor shows the "movement" icon, but if you click it will actually fire and not move.

Just save before to be sure.

For Allied Corps and Vanilla I think the standalone scenarios are modified compared with the campaign versions.

I guess for GC this will not be the case using this way. I suppose there is no specific version meant to be played as standalone.

I can get the ones from Allied Corps and the vanilla game, but not the ones from GC.

I do not know the map, but as a general rule you should shut down vision of the ennemy (whichs means recon units and also bunkers/strong points).

This way you can drive them to ambush.

Do not forget that there are different AI levels. Colonel is the middle level, there is at least one more. I guess AI behaves a bit more intelligently there. Also, in GC east, when you encounter russian heavy infantry, you will see that even at colonel level, you will cry when they leave their entre...
