Hello, you just to activate the mod in the in-game mod list, then choose whatever Axis Operations campaign you want to play. In short, if activated, AO Redone replaces AO Vanilla. To come back to AO Vanilla, just disable AO Redone in your mod listscorehouse wrote: Fri Oct 23, 2026 10:29 pm I play on Steam. AOredone The Campaign shows up as AOredone or under another heading when you embark to begin the Campaign? thanks
Hello, I’m sorry but I think you may have misunderstood what I wrote. The mines don’t disappear on their own; you have to use your big fleet to destroy them and clear a path for your ships to cross the bridge. You have so much firepower at your disposal that you shouldn’t have any trouble doing this. Once you’ve crossed the Golden Gate bridge, you’ll still need to use your fleet to escort some troops to Richmond or even to bypass the bottleneck at Oakland: then just destroy the defenses with your battleships, and you’ll have almost achieved your objectives. This scenario is long and difficult, but if you make good use of your fleet, you can win it without too much trouble. I hope this helps.BrGGR wrote: Sat Oct 24, 2026 8:49 pm SanFrancisco i couldn't get through. This map turned out very strange. It’s impossible to cross the eastern bridge—you just end up constantly surrounded. There’s no way to reach Richmond under any circumstances. According to the description, the mines were supposed to disappear at some point, but they remain. The entire fleet sat idle for two-thirds of the time.
Apparently, I’m missing something about this map. But the vanilla version didn’t cause any issues at all.
There’s one problem: the mines are invulnerable =) A battleship firing at the mines deals 0 damage.Andrea69 wrote: Sat Oct 24, 2026 9:27 pm Hello, I’m sorry but I think you may have misunderstood what I wrote. Well, believe me they aren't invulnerable at all; I destroyed them quite easily, and my equipment doesn't have any superpowersBrGGR wrote: Sat Oct 24, 2026 10:30 pm

And what about the eastern bridge? Is it also intended for the fleet to clear it of mines, so as to avoid ending up automatically encircled while on the bridge?
Upd. I’ve figured out what the problem is: the mines are too heavily entrenched. It seems to me that you’ve really overdone the entrenchment on this map.
It seems there’s some kind of bug with the eastern bridge. As soon as I occupied 57.41, the game decided that my troops on the bridge were surrounded. They remained "surrounded" for 3 turns, and then the encirclement status simply vanished on its own.
Well, I don’t know what happened to you there; I managed to cross the Eastern Bridge without any trouble, using a small but very strong contingent of troops. After that, my air force and ships cleared the way for me.BrGGR wrote: Sat Oct 24, 2026 10:30 pm

No, this mod does not use the elite replacement mechanic found for example in SOEscorehouse wrote: Sun Oct 25, 2026 1:32 am does AOredone use the Elite Troops where you accumulate 2 per turn? if so are they there for 1941?

You can find all this information in the other thread about AOredone (viewtopic.php?t=115858), where I post a detailed account of each scenario before making a campaign available. The thread is getting a bit long, but everything can still be found quite easily. You can also find these campaign notes on the AOredone Steam page, under the most popular discussions.scorehouse wrote: Sun Oct 25, 2026 1:07 pm r there cache, commendations, etc, guides for each battle in the different Campaigns?
Yes, choose the southern pathBrGGR wrote: Sun Oct 25, 2026 11:29 pm Did I understand correctly that, following the San Francisco segment, only one of the paths has been updated? I tried following the "Operation Bellerophon" path(a path through dense forests), and it’s clearly the vanilla version.
Well, in this mission you receive some powerful prototypes; however, no matter how strong they may be, they obviously do not last forever. It is up to you to decide how to manage them. Furthermore, the AI often prefers to target units that cannot be repaired, though you can still mitigate the damage by using a Field Repairs hero.BrGGR wrote: Tue Oct 27, 2026 9:08 am OPERATION FALL GRUN
In other missions, you get elite versions of units, but in this one, you only get standard ones. This leads to a pointless dilution of your total force, and because of losses, it becomes practically impossible to make any real use of them.
Yeah, I get it. In practice, we’ll most likely end up using the standard versions anyway. It just doesn’t make sense to include elite versions in one mission and then provide the exact same units—but as standard versions—in the next; it creates a sense of dilution that’s just annoying. They should really just stick to either standard or elite versions—either way works for me.Andrea69 wrote: Tue Oct 27, 2026 10:19 am In general, we are talking about the most advanced tanks in the E-series; therefore, I have made them available only as prototypes, even in the "standard" version. If you prefer not to use them, you can always use the standard E-100/E-75 tanks, which are excellent in their own right
