It's difficult and often tedious to find new images that relate to a specific situation or scene, e.g. Japanese banzai attack with frontal perspective, and I also have to colour them in, which takes a lot of time. It's not necessarily faster or easier with AI, but I really enjoy it.KI.png :D

In the replays I can see that the Japanese are holding up well and inflicting painful losses on the marines.

Losses on both sides in the battle for Iwo-Jima
United States (U.S. Marines & Navy):

Killed: approx. 6,800

Wounded: approx. 19,200

Total casualties: ~26,000

➡️ This corresponds to almost a third of the troops deployed (approx. 70,000 men).
➡️ No other battle in the Pacific claimed so many casualties in such a short time.
.............................................................................................
.............................................................................................
🇯🇵 Imperial Japanese Army (IJA):

Casualties: approx. 18,000-19,000 (practically all defenders)

Prisoners: only about 200-300 (including many wounded, unconscious or near-death soldiers)

➡️ The Japanese defence force consisted of around 21,000 men under Lieutenant General Kuribayashi.
➡️ The casualty rate was therefore over 95% - an almost complete loss of the garrison.
📌 Note:

The civilian population was no longer present on Iwo Jima at this point, as it had been evacuated in advance.
The battle was characterised by tunnel warfare, fanaticism and systematic defence to the last man - with catastrophic consequences for both sides.

Some people keep their wealth in platinum and gold bars, others in stocks and jugs, while we keep our prestige in ships and aircraft carriers ))) And so we advance, the Japanese defend themselves, regardless of the casualties ))) Toby's statistics are good, but the losses of the US Army during the assault on the completely empty island of Kysku, abandoned by the Japanese, cause laughter and doubt about their professionalism as warriors in general )

Oh, it was an epic defence. The Japanese were charging like a runaway train. But we fought back, although many of our guys won't be returning to their native Texas. And now the capture of the airfield in 1942, at least that's what it says in the description.

Progress on the Spanish campaign is moving more slowly than expected. I've discovered that all Nationalist artillery units are currently missing both sound and image files. I've decided to focus only on fixing the missing sound for now, otherwise it would take too long. Also, two more missions will be added, bringing the total to nine so far. In addition, I'm also working on another campaign on the side.."Scorched Earth at Voronezh" – A Red Army Campaign in 1942.

That's also a topic I'm considering in the Spanish campaign. There were no armored trains in the Battle of Irún, but I'd like to include a Republican one here and there in some missions. However, there isn't one available in the PAK mod, so I'll borrow one from another nation and relabel it accordingly.

I believe in you, my friend, that you will manage or even create a new unit, because you are talented!!! Look at the cool skyscrapers and tankers you made )

I need to finish off the Japanese, as I didn't finish the Polish campaign because the angry Red Army troops are waiting for me )))

Check out the Legacy of Versailles - Redux 1.2 mod! You might find the sounds you need there, as it features Franco's Spanish nationalists, Italian rattles, and the German Condor Legion ,various interbrigades of the Reds.

Spreading your energy across numerous projects and mods, as well as battling the entire world, does not lead to anything positive (C) Adolf )))

Well, Iwo Jima has been conquered, Uncle Uzbek, well done! Thank you all for your attention, the rest is in the screenshots and replays. The final battle kept me on edge throughout the game, as the Japanese sometimes counterattacked very skilfully, but we were tougher and more stress-resistant.

Trophy Japanese float in the service of the USA !

It’s great to see you letting others take part in your adventure on Iwo Jima – and not just in this campaign. You also engage with the work of other creators and modders, sharing your images, impressions, and experiences. :!: DANKE
Well then, on to the next adventure.

The Spanish campaign continues to progress. We have now reached Mission 6.
The campaign ends with the 9th scenario and the capture of Irún on September 11 and 12, 1936. This does not entirely correspond to historical facts, but I wanted to include as many missions and ideas as possible. The campaign is therefore historically inspired. I have also included a few bonus units again.

The campaign is in its final phase.
For better understanding, I am publishing a few mission objectives in advance that may be difficult to understand while playing. I sometimes feel the same way when playing other campaign. The missions not listed here are easy to understand in terms of victory conditions.s.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The primary mission objective is: Lieutenant Colonel Alfonso Beorlegui Canet must not die until Irun is captured.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Mission 2:Breakthrough at Tolosa
Winning condition: Conquer all victory fields.Place General Alfonso Beorlegui Canet on the red target marker at Hex 4;7 in Tolosa. Do not destroy the Palacio de Justicia.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Mission 3: Battle for the Oria Valley
Victory Conditions: Capture all victory hexes and escort Hauptmann Eberhard Schimpf to the warehouse near the village of Irura.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Mission 4: Front line at Andoain
Capture all victory hexes. Capture the Town Hall Casa Consistorial in Andoain by capturing the victory field 12;12 and defend it. It must not be destroyed.Eliminate the Republican commander in Andoain, Capitán Muñoz!
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Mission 6: March through Oiartzun
Capture all victory fields. Eliminate the Wroblewski militia group, the Edgar André group, and the Hoffmann group.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Mission 8: Blockade of Irún
Warning: None of your units may fly over or cross the border into France, otherwise the mission will be lost.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Mission 9: Capture of Irún
The church of Santa Maria del Juncal in Irun must be captured and not destroyed. To do this, move General Alfonso Beorlegui Canet to the red target marker on hex 7.12.

Just to satisfy my curiosity ) It says here that he was a colonel, and perhaps he could have become a general, but he died of his wounds in 1936. Or do we have a similar universe again, but not our reality? )

Yes, he was Born in 1888 in Estella (Navarra)
Rank (1936) Lieutenant Colonel (Teniente Coronel), later referred to as ‘Coronel’
Affiliated with The garrisoned army in Pamplona (Navarra)
Supported by Carlists (Requetés), Falangists, regular troops, air force (Legion Condor), Italian artillery
Role in the war Commander of the northern Spanish offensive in Navarra and Gipuzkoa. In the campaign, he mostly holds the title of Lieutenant Colonel in the briefings. I will try to change the places where I accidentally promoted him to General in my test in the next few days.

As early as October, 1936, the Nationalists began training of flamethrower infantrymen under the direction of the Condor Legion. From January, 1937, Commander Peter Jansa (Chief of the Condor Legion’s anti-tank artillery instructors) was put in charge of the training. The Gruppe Von Thoma supplied eighteen flamethrowers of three types: nine standard, four light, and five heavy ‘trench’ (IE improvised) types. On the 17th of October, 1936, the training of a specialist flamethrower company began.
Of the four light flamethrower units, two were sent to the Tercio (Spanish Legion), one remained for training, and one was installed on a Panzer I Ausf. A, which joined other vehicles on October 27th for operations at the Talavera front.
I hope you have an exclusive one with a flamethrower )))
