Re: Historical Scenarios

Wow, thanks for the rapid reply! I just wanna say I have also had issues figuring out where many of this stuff is. I have been reading many of the texts with Google Maps open on my computer, but between the changeable place names and the different romanization systems it is easy to get turned around...

Re: Historical Scenarios

Hello there! It has been an extremely long time since I last used this account, but I thought I might as well as I am the same person (just older). I bought and have been enjoying this game immensely. I hope this doesn't upset anyone on your team, but I prefer it to Pike & Shot - a game which I ...

Well, the key thing I think you are missing, kyle, is the level of the game. By level, I mean level os simlulation. All games are simulations on some level (life is too, thinking about it that way, but thats philosophy, not today's topic). If you notice, Slitherine's game has squads of around 25 - 4...

I belive an approximate translation is "hello" or "hi" (in latin). Ask the experts, though, they will know.

You mean spelling, don't you? Either that, or slitherine is a very different business from what I perceived it to be. :P

Sounds good, I like it. So, will there be some Non-player characters thrown in to swell numbers and to be commanders while there isn't any (when the game first starts up)? It really does sound cool :D

Very interesting, and it sounds even more exciting! The only problem I could think of is, what if you don't have enough people? (like only five or sometihng) And how would these commanders be nominated? That is all. otherwise, it sounds like a really cool game.! :D

Yes, I believe taht , as of this moment, we can everything BUT make new models. So the new ones will look the same as old ones, unless you make parts invisible.

Maybe not. just look turn so your shoulder is to your enemy and look down your side. If you stretch your arm, it might be used as a good sight. Release the rock or bullet when it is in front of your chest, right? I have never tried, so don't trust me, I am just speculating. I like the information on...

If someone wants to balance the upgrades, go for it. I am currently just wroking on the units. Ps, Sum1won is right about anti-skills, swordsman is a better alternative. Pps, if my mod wroks right, it should correct the discrepency between spearmen and light infantry. Update, I have been thinking ab...

Balancing LA Cont.

OK, after figuring out the cost we need to find out the value. This is a little bit trickier. To do this, I have gone through and averaged every stat between every unit. I know that , for example, some units don't do range damage, but I figure this will compensate for the fact that, in the end, a un...

Oh, I know I have been unclear. I have not been in a very clear mood today. Sorry. You are right, but you forget that multiplying is simpler than dividing, so the ratio between x/1, y/3, and z/3 is the same as 3x, 1y, and 1z. Just multiplying everything by three. But you will see I had to change it ...

Re: A Mathematical Analysis of the Value of Various Skills

Hahaha! I have the full game now, so nothing can stop me from checking the value of skills, based on the real numbers! First, I have seen a claim that the anti ~ skills are worthless, so I am going to compare them to the other availible skills at various levels. This will be hard because ...
