How to buy Great Battles Medieval?

Cannot buy GBM. When attempting to buy I only get the information that my shopping cart is empty.
Don't know whether it is just temporarily, however wanted to notify you to give your commercial savvy a boost in case it is not only me who is affected

Games Industry Question

A question to people with games industry experience: Have you ever heard of Train2game and their 12months course in games development? And if so, would as far as you know studios in the industry consider a Train2game course in games development (advocated by the UK trade association for the games in...

First of all it will take more than a year anyway to realise something into a game, I suppose. But anyway, since the MTW2 add on will be released a year after their first release there would never be a ???right??? time to release the Slitherine game of that topic??¦ Furthermore you can even cash in...

Starter Kit ??!

hm...sounds interesting but what's a general without troops ? Do I have to buy an all-round starter kit with, say: 3 roman footsoldiers, 2 Parthian horse archers, a chariot and (you never know) a starship trooper...??! Or do the clubs have armies of volunteers readily available for slaughter ...

Map looks ok for a board game, excellent for a computer game. I suppose there will be borders in the end ? Counters...er....units...look good (I agree there should be no facing) but I ll play with NATO symbols anyway. One thing: What is that imense"Ardennes forest" that covers half of Nort...

Re: Victory conditions?

For example in a WW2 game IMO there should be almost no possibility of the Axis actually winning the war - the USA supply the allies ensured that that was never a possibility after 1941! Probably you are also of the opinion that the Vietnamese shouldn't have had any possibility of winning the war t...

No stacking necessary !!!

Ok, Slitherine folks, although you already said a couple of times stacking is not in this time, there is obviously quite a number of people out there (all the old cosim folks like me I guess, who are very used to that and would not let go...) who would love to have stacking included somehow. Since y...

corps armour

* If we split tanks corps into light & heavy, will that sit ok with you guys, or does it feel wrong? At a corps size this feels (historically) wrong. U just wouldn't have found corps of either heavy or light tanks. Since you are looking for 5-6 Levels of armour it seems even better to me to use...

Air war

What about dividing the map up in western, southern, eastern front and Germany. Each front has 2 levels :an air superiority and a ground/strategic attack level each consisting of different fields e.g. 1-5 where you can place air units (if the faction wants to). On the superiority level the unit in f...

Imo oil is not an important factor...but the lack of oil definitely is(Battle of the Bulge, German airforce). Why not have this automated. Each country has a certain amount of oil-production points modified by the industry tech level factor(refineries) and oilfields (imports via convoys, Rumania, Ca...

Very impressive map...but since you do not include stacking that means that there can't be more than 36 Divisions on an approx. 1000 Km long front...shall we build up the Soviets in "thick red lines" then ??...

Thanks for the feedback Hovensdog. What we're interested in is does this justify the use of 2 types of armoured corps - Heavy & Light/Medium? Were some corps equipped with heavier tanks than others or were all armoured corps roughly the same with a mix of light, medium & heavy tanks? I thin...

It'll be too simple and abstract for my tastes. I'd druther see something along the lines of SPI's War in Europe, but with more detailed naval, air. logistics, and production rules. Still, if a computer game can finally approximate Third Reich, a lot of long-time wargamers will be happy. Should be ...

I'd be interested to find out who said Legion II was not still going to happen? It wasn't one of us ;) ...so then you're working on War Commander, "the game that beats Civilisation" and Legion II at the same time...ok,ok stand corrected...I wasn't aware that you are that assiduous at Slit...

the "game that beats the Civilization series" project that " is really developing into a whole new game system"...

I suppose you would you also have to use order points to regain control of routed units ? Is there a night penalty c...
