Rejecting Armistice w/France a must for Sealion?
Been reading a lot of the forum and I’ve noticed that it seems like it is a prerequisite for players who want to do sealion to reject the armistice with France in order to do so. Why is that the case? Is getting French North Africa and Spain into the war that much of an advantage? Wouldn’t it be eas...

Having issues saving a game
Whenever I try to save a game (on Mac) right when I start typing the save box disappears. I’m currently only able to load the auto saved game.
Any fixes to this?

Naval Warfare as Axis
I’ve always found naval combat as a chore when playing as the Axis. Anyone have good strategies if you’re not doing sea lion (until after a Soviet capitulation)?

Best way to deal with North Africa as Axis
Picking CEAW GS 3.1 up again after a lengthy hiatus. What is the best way to "handle" North Africa? Typically what I've done in the past is move my Italian air forces to Benghazi and Tobruk along with my Italian tanks, and a couple corps to reinforce the Mech, and two corps already there. ...

Earliest Sealion
I'm a big fan of conducting Sealion as a way to lock up my western flank as the axis. I've typically run Sealion in earliest of the spring 1941 and held off Barbarossa til 42. Just curious has anyone conducted Sealion prior to 1941? What is the earliest anyone has landed?

Re: US/British "resurrection"
You caught my attention with an invasion of North America pre-Barbarossa. How'd you accomplish that? I imagine you invaded in 1942 which would mean that the Soviet's declare war that summer leaving you exposed in the east. What's your timeline for this? Did you conduct a simultaneous Sea Lion and NA...

Re: Strategies for Greece
I've never understood going after Greece. The terrain is treacherous, and the pp you get from it just doesn't seem worth it in my opinion. Especially when you should be prepping for Barbarossa. What is the advantage?

Re: Back-Footed Barbarossa Jun '42
Good questions all around. I was preparing myself for Barbarossa however I merely ran out of time. A lot of my armored units were in the UK mopping up the Brits. I have enough Luftwaffe units ready for the attack, and just about the right amount of Infantry to attack it's just he armored units that ...

Back-Footed Barbarossa Jun '42
Here's the situation: It's June 17th 1942. I'm playing as the Axis ( against the AI ) and have conquered Poland, Denmark, Norway, Holland, Belgium all in the normal historical . Then I took my own detour, I took Paris in the summer of '40 rejected the armistice, and managed to conquer the rest of Fr...

Re: Axis Strategic Decision Tree
That's a great graph and I agree, I wish you could go into a bit more detail about the conquests. For example are you accepting the French armistice? Or are you running roughshot over the French country side?

Axis Naval Strategy
What kind of Strategies and tactics are best to use against the Allies in the Atlantic, and Med? From the start of the game I like to post my Uboats off the coast of the USA and catch the convoys coming up the American coast. But once America joins the war this strategy becomes near suicide, and I'm...

According to your screen shots, it looks as though the Soviets took the brunt of the war effort of the Germans. While I understand your opponent went all for nothing in the East, he left his western front completely neglected until it was too late. It's safe to say that not eliminating France proved...

oh ok, My main reason for going early is to get the oil earlier from both countries. I ran the axis out of oil in mid 1942 in my first game. I feel I did everything right but I used too much oil :( Oil is tough but it makes for a more interesting and realistic game. To save as much Oil as possible,...

I find that it is difficult regardless of the difficulty of the game itself, to save France from surrender. But I like to form a line of Corps along the Somme with the BEF (1 Mech, and 1 Corps), usually you can shoot out 1 Corps every turn for the French so the building of a stiff defensive line is ...

Pre-Invasion of France 1940: Balkins
Thoughts on invading Yugoslavia right after a Polish surrender? In a normal game the time between the surrender of the Poles and the invasion of France I tend to go by what happened in History and invade Denmark and Norway back-to-back, and develop more troops and tech for the invasion of France. Bu...

1944 start Axis Strategy
So I've just been messing around with the different scenarios, and I was curious to what I should do from the start of the 1944 scenario as the Axis. In case some don't know the situation, Italy: Out of the war, American's in Rome, German units control northern Italy. France: D-Day is about to start...
