I had purchased FOG digital and the RoR expansion some time ago and hadn't really played it.

Hi there,

I am having issues trying to download the pre-ordered Rise of Rome expansion.
The first download got to 95% after several hours and then 'connection to peer' was reset.
The second time got to about 20% with the same results.
Both these times I was downloading from the email link just with ...

Just to confirm Iain. We do not need the 1.10 patch installed on the 'vanilla' FoG before installing RoR?

My download still seems to be working Iain. Quite slow but that is usual for us down here in the 'antipodes' !!! Will let you know when I try to install in about.... 2 1/2 hours...

I am downloading RoR as I type.... looking forward to it... the preorder link came through on time 7pm there (8am here saturday morning)...

I have had this problem occasionally when I alt-tab to another application or the desktop whilst in a battle. I know you have said you don't alt-tab but Ian mentioned it and it may assist tracking down the solution...

Love to see how. I am having some issues using VMWare, but could always try under Virtual Box. Though I'd prefer a native mac version.

I presume you are running the OS X client of Virtual Box. So I dont know whether that would be any different in how it handles its virtualisation when compared ...

The software we use to develop the game on Mac, PC and Linux. In fact it is native to Mac's. So we are looking at a Mac version. While it could be done on Linux there is a good chance that drivers will be a major issue its just too much extra effort for a very small market.
