Mixed Nationality Corps 1813-1814

Some questions regarding the Mixed Nationality Corps. Quote from Mixed Nationality Corps: “Divisions from these lists may only contain core units, but may also include Cossacks in mixed or cavalry divisions.” Does this only count where Cossacks are listed under Optional Units, or can any list / nati...

Re: What do you think about this list for Russian Inf Corps?

p158 of TofN - Composition of Divisions Mixed divisions can only contain 1 or 2 units of cavalry. All divisions must contation a least 3 units. If you're having an infantry division to just sit there with the artillery, you probably just want to keep the infantry as cheap as possible. Therefore, mov...

Uhlan are lancers
Lances is a Special Capability, not the Troop Type.

But they are irregular cavalry
Irregular is the Training, not the Troop Type

Re: Triumph of Nations Errata

Russian Grenadiers Corps 1813-1814 , pg 96 The problem is with the artillery . They may field heavy artillery with 2-3 bases , the minimum being 2 and the maximum ....also 2 . They may field medium artillery with 2-3 bases, the minimum being 2 and the maximum 4 .. So you have 4 compulsory b...

Re: Triumph of Nations Errata

Anglo Netherlands Army - Belgium 1815 A couple of questions regarding the "special instructions" in this list. Cavalry units may be combined to form up to 2 cavalry divisions. A cavalry division containing both heavy and light cavalry must have a minimum of 8 bases of each. British cavalry...

Re: Triumph Of Nations

AND MUCH heavy artillery options. 4-6 Med 2-3 Heavy 2-4 Med Horse +1 att min per division. That's what you call firepower. I am sure the french will be looking for a flank of this artillery Althoug this is probably a mistake; as it forces you to take 4 divisions. Which is difficult to do below 800p...

Rocket Attachments

What is the correct cost of a Rocket Attachment; 10pts as per Page 92, or 12pts as per Page 120?

And, as rockets can only fire at long range, why would you take one over a medium gun (other than being able to field a fourth Artillery attachment in the Anglo-Portugese list)?

I suspect there will be a Jacobite list in the Renaisance Duty and Glory supplement; as that covers Europe from 1660-1698 (and should cover the 1685 uprising).

Cornish Foot in Early ECW Royalist

I've had the rules and book 1 lists for about a week now; and have not had a comprehensive read yet. I may have missed something, but in the Early ECW Royalist you can put out Cornish regiments with the pike as Determined Foot. It then mentions the fact that they can't move as Determined Foot with t...

For 72 points you're almost matching a unit of 4 knights costing 92 points in melee (assuming both are 4s in two ranks) . Obviously, over time the 4 knights BG should win. But the mixed banner has the advantages of possibly disrupting the knights before contact; and also should have a longer battle...

I used Poles against a Mamluk Egyptian the other week. I had 2 BGs of all x-bow, 3 of all knights, and 4 of mixed knights/x-bow. The all x-bow BGs were mauled by some Bedouin Lance cavalry, in the future I wouldn't rely on having 2 units side by side to attempt to maximise shooting. The all knights ...
