Rocket Attachments

Post by DuncA »

What is the correct cost of a Rocket Attachment; 10pts as per Page 92, or 12pts as per Page 120?

And, as rockets can only fire at long range, why would you take one over a medium gun (other than being able to field a fourth Artillery attachment in the Anglo-Portugese list)?

I would go with page 90, its been confirmed there are several point values listed wrong in the army lists in the book.

As for why a rocket attachment, your division can have up to 3 guns attached so if you have a 4th unit and want to make the rest of the army jealous of your spiffy uber modern artillery, you might want a rocket. Suppose the rocket would also help you to remember which unit is supposed to stay out back and provide rear support, kind of hard to miss wouldn't you say?

10 points....reduced because they have limited value.
You only take them if you think the enemy will be holed up in cover. (It's dice hits on a 5 instead of a 6).
Or because you have the model and want to use it.
