Custom Army Specific Disorder Markers

I made the following disorder markers for my Classical Indian army. It wasn't that hard to do. Clipped a standard infantry figure off its based and posed it into some green stuff.

Like a few others in my perfect world, the unit of manuver would be the battalion/squadron but its understandable that you would want to scale up to a more grand tactical level to allow players to represent higher level commands than one or two divisions or possibly a single corps. I assume that the...

I beleive that you go around your camp, not through it.
Thats the way we play it at our club but I can't point to a page number in the rule book to verify it.

Very cool. I have a principate Roman army and a classical Indian army in addition to my interest in building a Swiss army, so I will be interested in seeing the results of this tourney. Plus ole' Storky has a Seljuk Turk army that I want to run my Indians against one of these days :P

Several members of our group have 10mm armies from the Warmaster days (thank god they are gone) I hope you mean the rules and not the players Storky  I really like the mass look you get with the 10mm scale with two ranks of figures per stand instead of one. With all the Scot-o-philes in ou...

Make a special rule -- never fail cohesion tests , but automatically break when out of command range of a commander. (he'd have to rally them to get them back). However they always fail CMTs and cannot perform complex moves ever! To defeat them, the opponent must autobreak them (they are all poor),...

Any thoughts on a Medieval Swiss army?

A lot of guys in my wargaming club are building armies from the Storm of Arrows book. I picked my copy up the other day and I am interested in building a Swiss army (I have a 28mm Swiss army I built for WAB but I will probably paint up a 10mm Swiss army for FoG). Anyone play with the Swiss? I am a l...

So much for using terrain to my advantage Been there Dale. Nothing bites like winning the initiative against the odds, picking the perfect terrain to fight your opponent and then have the placement die rolls go completely against you. Well as they say, no plan survives first contact with the enemy ...

Steve Payne gave me an excellent idea regarding the use of these markers. He uses a counter which he can flip to help him keep track of which units are eligible to attempt to recover cohesion during a given JAP. I am now using a variation on that theme. When I blow a cohesion test, I put down two ma...

I've made some tournament scoring spreadsheets that include such data as participants club affiliation and a notes section for prizes, denoting playing referees, etc. There are 3 versions, one for 3, 4, and 5 round tournaments. There is a copy on the North American FoG Yahoogroups file section and a...

I just witnessed some late Medieval Spanish crossbows beat the snot out of some French Burgundian Ordinance Bowmen (I think they were longbowmen but I won't swear to it). Of course the Xbows outnumbered the bows 1.5 to 1 8)

Looking for a nice 10mm Roman Fort

Anyone know of a manufacturer who makes a nice 10mm Roman fort (or possibly a smallish 15mm one) that would serve as a nice fortified camp in FoG ?

We had five elephant BG in that fight (I had 3 and Rob had 2). Not one of them managed to swing a trunk in anger although those Persian elephants would have ruined one of my heavy chariot units day and one of my elephants would have tangled with some Persian cavalry if the game had gone on one turn ...

Battle Report: Mauryas Indians vs Sassinid Persians

My friend Rob just finished painting his Sassinid Persian army and my Indian army trotted out to give them their first taste of battle at our club meeting yesterday. Things started out badly for Rob as I won the initiative even though he was +3 on the die roll and I was +0. I choose to fight in the ...
