Re: Allied: Advance to Elbe
RC2 First impression: quite a bit of ground to cover .. but the germans will be weak this time .. ? - perfect 1st turn, cleaning up almost everything visible. - in turn 2, two axis SPAA attack stupidly. They inflicted no losses, just exposing themselfes to destruction in turn 3 - Crocodiles are to s...

Re: Allied: Crossing the Rhine
RC2 Wonderful map .. at least, that's what i thought before entering it. Wondered about that neutralizing task .. but ok, give it a try. - Crossing the rhine itself went easy enough. Encounterd some mines .. bypassing instead of destroying them. - My fighters discovered some heavy armor in the weste...

Re: Allied: Battle of the Bulge
Started Beta 4, finished RC1 As in the previous scenarios, it's hard for me to add anything new .. so just my 2ct: - Realizing, that it's already winter 44/45, i guess it's been to late for me to buy a bridging tank in the battle of the bulge? Anyways .. even when prestige is melting heavily, that d...

Downloading Screen still tells me Version 1.2 Beta 4 - but besides that, everything is fine. Thanks a lot

Thanks to the both of you!
So one AAR per scenario, or one for the whole AC?

Re: Download Latest Build here!
Have just received an email about the final release candidate. Tried to load - but it's still linked to beta 4? Also, this link (http://www.slitherine.com/files/panzer_corps/PanzerCorps-v1.20-beta4.exe) does not work (logically, as it should be beta5 .. but this one doesn't work too)? Directory brow...

Re: Allied: Cobra
First Impression: where can i get all those tanks, to at least secure a borderline that long? Beta 4 - concentrated almost 2 thirds of my troops to the east, leaving the west quite weak. Had hoped to be able to counter german attacks by air. - The rule "tanks in the open, inf in the bocage"...

Re: Allied: D-Day
@Zhivago: yep, Crocofly would be cool :D Beta 4 - Landing has been unexpectedly easy - Afterwards, my top prio has been eliminating those bunkers and fortresses. Crocodile did well as did the Fireflies. Is this historically correct? I'm used to use engineers / pioneers for that task in earlier games...

Re: Allied: Cassino Breakthrough
After two amphibious landings, i've decided to try Cassino. Remembering the Cassino-Scenarios within the grand campaigns, i did not expect an easy fight. Well .. it has been balanced well enough. Some difficult moments, but overall, yep, it's ok. - Crocodiles worked very well against fortifications ...

Re: Allied: Salerno
Beta 4 - this time, i thought, i'd deployed my troops better. Worked - until the first german counterattack from SE. Took me most of my bombers to help those troops so advance in the north slowed down. - second counter attack (including a tiger) hit me by surprise .. but did not prove to be a big pr...

Re: Allied: Sicily
Beta 4 - bought 3 paratroopers to help capturing some airports quickly (wanting to avoid supply-probs with aircraft carrier). Noticed afterwards, that i don't have enough transports for them. At least another one would be great. - italians have been very passive once again. I'd expect them to counte...

Re: Allied: Tunisia
Don't have to add that much .. just some thoughts: - didn't expect german bombers in that scenario. Gave me some trouble the first turns. - Axis AA did trouble me .. but they did not last to long. Expected some more of it at Tunis. - Nice, having american equipment at last. But they hardly survived,...

Re: Allied: Medenine
Having the option of flanking the Mareth Line from the west is making this quite interesting. I've had 4 tanks and one inf (in case of mines) in the west and they did a great job. Kept me waiting for the strong response, the briefing has been talking of. The rest attacked the Mareth Line directly af...

Re: Allied: Second Alamein
Beta 4 A lot of mines, indeed. But my idea of breaking through them in the south (weaker italian units awaited) proved to be a good one. Used my engineers for that, having most of my tanks following. The Scorpions did a fine job in breaking through a little south of the cost. Took hill 11,12 in turn...

Re: Allied: First Alamein
The last one in Beta 3. Another interesting one. Had to repair a lot from the previous scenario, but still enough prestige. Positions seemed to be easy at the beginning, but after a while my tanks found themselfes being constantly on the wrong side of the map. Soon lost that hex in the south west .....

Re: Allied: Crusader
As some others, i also love this one. Having 70% my troops in the area of Torbruk, the german counterattack after the first move of those service units took me by surprise. A hard time followed - but that's right the way it has to be. At least some time ;) - Got my first SE here .. very welcome, eve...

Re: Allied: Crete
As another user already said: it seems a bit to easy to get rid of the germans, compared to history. Compared to the previous scenarios, it's getting harder .. but very slowly. Biggest problem is anticipating, where the next attack will take place. I've been lucky to concentrate on the western part ...

Re: Allied: Beda Fomm
It's been surprising for me, to read about people having problems with this one. But perhaps, just doing what the briefing told is the way to an easy scenario. At some point, i've felt pity for those poor italians, being butchered. Of course, there have been some damage to my 3 tanks and the 2 recon...

Re: Allied: Bardia
So finally things get tough. The rapid increase in size and difficulty could be to much for new players - for experienced ones, it's just starting to get interesting. Concentrating my forces next to the street, there's not to much resistance. But - as stated before, i do have to much prestige. At th...

Re: Allied: Sidi Barrani
Within this scenario, both my Cruiser Mk1 tanks reached their third star .. if they continue with that speed, they are maxed out half the way to Berlin. Maybe, this is a bit to quick? Still, Sidi Barrani increases difficulty right the correct amount. Italians slowly grow aggressive - at least the ta...
