Re: Game resolution setting help please.

Yes, that is true. And yet, even after shutdown, the game seems to select its own resolution setting aside from my selection. The game's selection looks OK, but, the odd thing is I don't seem to be able to make my own resolution selection and make it stick. You see, I have a wide screen monitor with...

Game resolution setting help please.

I have tried to set the game resolution in the proper dialog box in the game Options, but, my selection doesn't seem to "take".

In other words, the game seems to stick with its own selection of resolution, despite my selection.

I'm flummoxed.

Re: 17th Century Infantry reacting to Cavalry

Thanks for the responses. The game is quite ambitious in its scope. It's wonderful to see battles modeled from the late 1400s all the way to Rocroi in 1643. There was significant evolution in tactical warfare and infantry formations during the 200 years from 1450 to 1650. I am very glad to know that...

Re: Unitgraphics

I would like express great enthusiasm for the game's unit graphics.

I do wish that I could see the figures more close-up. Is there any way to implement more "zoom in" so that we can see how these soldiers look up close.

17th Century Infantry reacting to Cavalry

I've played a bit of the board game called Under the Lily Banners, which is about 17th century land war on the continent. In that game, infantry directly threatened by cavalry go into a "hedge hog" formation of all around pikes that makes them immune to cavalry but extra vulnerable to Shot...

Re: Off-White, Arc-shaped Graphic question.

That might be it.

I wonder why this graphic is not explained in the manual?

Off-White, Arc-shaped Graphic question.

One of the scenarios includes units that have a strange graphic depiction that is arc shaped and white. The graphic is associated with a combat unit.

I don't see an explanation of this graphic in the manual.

Does anyone know what this is?

Great game.

Battle of Seminara, Italian Wars.

Wow! What a tough task it is for the Spanish/Italians to defeat the French and Swiss mercenaries!

I have tried a couple of times, but, the battle seems unbalanced. There are always the many other great scenarios to try !

Anybody win yet in this scenario on the default difficulty setting?
