Off-White, Arc-shaped Graphic question.

One of the scenarios includes units that have a strange graphic depiction that is arc shaped and white. The graphic is associated with a combat unit.

I don't see an explanation of this graphic in the manual.

Does anyone know what this is?

I am not sure what you mean. Which scenario? Which unit? Do you mean the arc of fire icons above the units when they can be targetted?

They are mentioned in section 9.3.3 but I agree that a screenshot would have been helpful. They are also mentioned in the tutorial.
