Ah, that makes sense. I was wondering if there was some sort of consensus on the matter.

I'll try both methods, and see how it works out.

Thanks for the reply!

Not in my copy. The BG size for the trad hoplites and the Iphikrateans are both 6-8 (which I think you may be misreading) Ah, you're right. Sorry, my mistake! D'oh! Edit: While we're at it, how would you recommend deploying the Pezhetaroi/Foot Companions? Blocks of 12 - frontage of 3, depth of 4?

Typo in Alexander's List

In the Alexandrian Macedonian list, there are entries for Greek Mercenary Hoplites.

Traditional Hoplites: 0-8
Iphikratean Hoplites: 0-8

But the group total is 0-36.

I'm guessing that should be 0-16...?

Don't get me wrong, I love my little Xyston Hoplites, but 36 seems to be a bit much...

I phoned in an order, and it was promptly shipped - I received it very quickly.

Thumbs up to Brookhurst!

Is there a US distributor who sells the small packs of figures - not the pre-sorted DBA armies - besides Warweb.com? I ordered an army worth of Alexandrian Macedonians in early August. I received around 80%, the rest are "on back-order" for an indefinite period of time. I'd like to finish ...

If painting horses is a problem, you can always use a spray-on brown primer, then lighten or darken the horse with washes or basic drybrushing. I've found that a brown primer works well for infantry as well. For example, I prime my Romans with a brick red spray-on primer. Skin is easier to paint - j...

Wow, they are beautiful. I was considering an Later Crusader army too, or at least an ally to a Komnenan Byzantine army (If I can find decent figures for the Komnenans). Say, you look familiar... ;) If you're planning on Late Crusaders, then I'll be forced to do Ayyubids - even if our armies will n...

Can someone recommend some good "Late Crusader" mi

I'd prefer 15mm, from a USA-based distributor.

Any suggestions are welcome, and if you have pictures, please post them!

Thank you!

Pyrrhus, if you're following this - two of the other people from the Attactix group have bought and started armies; one Late-Republican Roman and one Carthaginian.
