This sounds brilliant! I enjoy the Total War series, but honestly building the same buildings is a boring grind. Really looking forward to this.

Agreed Mouser. I really enjoy the effect seasons have on my campaigns. Random aspects like difficult winters or fierce storms really add to the immersion.

So when will we get some more info???? This is my most anticipated game of 19!

Can't understand why people don't prefer a four turn per year grand strategy game. Logistically, the movement of armies makes the most sense with four turns. Combine that with good seasons mechanics and it's far more interesting than one or two turns per year.

Been really hoping they would add a strategic campaign to FOG 2. Day 1 buy for me

Fought my first battle in the Stilicho campaign. Named all my units (took 15 minutes) and won the battle after a tough fight. However, at the next battle none of my named units were there. Do the named units carry over from battle to battle? Also, how are you able to tell which units are upgraded?

That's an interesting strategy of assigning all generals to the front line, but doesn't being engaged in close combat affect their command ability in some way?

Wow Jam that's some great info thx. It makes more sense to me that the hastati would fight in one continuous line. The second line having gaps so the hastati could fall back makes sense.
