Re: How to deal with disloyal characters

Another way to deal with them is to make them peers of the realm and then use regional decisions either to increase their loyalty or to get them killed.

Re: Not Much Happening

I'm considering an AI Aggressiveness option independent of the difficulty rating. I have read both accounts: some say the AI is constantly on their necks or declaring war on everyone, while others say not much happens. That's a great idea! More modularity and customization is always a good thing...

Re: Not Much Happening

Oh yeah aggression is good as long as your home situation is stable enough. I would imagine the first order of business as England would be to take over Wales and then possibly Scotland or Ireland if the Normans haven't shown up yet... Keep in mind units gain experience as they fight so if you alrea...

Re: Not Much Happening

In my first campaign as Portugal the Norman invasion didn't happen until the 1070's if I recall correctly. I've only played as Portugal and Florence so far, but I haven't encountered your problem... Both campaigns have been quite eventful, I must say however that the AI is quite passive in terms of ...

Re: question about regions with no food

I know you can lose buildings if you let the infrastructure go into the negatives, I figured it would be the same with pop and food...
Am I the only one that wants region to lose pop if they don't have enough food?

I agree. When I first started the game I kept clicking them thinking they were interactive buttons

Re: MAP CHANGES thread - Suggest here

I think this falls under "reshaping the map", still... Pisa is a part of Tuscany not of Liguria. Liguria definitely needs that 3rd region for balance purposes though. I believe there should be some Christian Orthodox in Sardinia (all 3 regions of the province). Sardinia was still technical...

Re: General ledger and leaders (characters) tab

Just a suggestion... Would it be possible for them to be considered as having "101" or "-1" loyalty so that they can be grouped apart from everybody else? That would make it easier to see what's what at a glance :)

Re: Give it up

Byzantium is such a bitch to balance in these kinds of games. It's no wonder a lot of popular Medieval2 Total War mods start the campaign at a time where the Romans had already fractured. I think there are no easy solutions short of hardcoding some events that periodically diminish Byz's stability, ...

Re: can't run on my PC

I'm getting, The application was unable to start correctly (0xc000007b). Game does not even start. I can get into the manual. Very sad. Pls. help. Running a Windows 11 box. Since you're running this in a box then it's presumably something to do with that. You could try using a different virtual mac...

Re: Brabant

Unfortunately Empires also had some similar issues (for example Etruscans and Sardes being lumped together with the other Italic cultures). It's really hard to be historically accurate for 1500+ regions, especially for a relatively small team. I think it should be up to modders to figure this out ho...

Re: Culture Bug in 1194 Campaign?

I would argue that English army post-1066 was more "anglo-saxon" than anything else, so unless you've managed to defeat the Norman invasion you should technically have "regular" anglo-saxon units...

Re: Iberian Order stole my land

I'm pretty sure the region goes to whoever won the battle, even if they are the attacker.
Very easy to test on this save, just control Castille and win an offensive battle against the Iberian Order on Portugal's territory.

Re: Loss of capital region to nation without war or passage rights

And when they met in my region it looks like that was treated as Scotland beating a Norwegian army and conquering that region without checking if firstly either of them should have been there, and secondly who the region belongs to. I'm pretty sure it's a bug, I'm having the same issue with Castill...

If you could upload the savefile I'd like to play around with it and see if it is the same issue!

Knightly Orders bug report

There is currently a pretty serious bug concerning Knightly Orders. You can test it by downloading one of these saves https://we.tl/t-dB7NPKmM2z 1) switch to control Castilla 2) move your troops into one of Portugal's region where an Iberian Order's army is also located 3) let the two armies fight i...

Re: Iberian Order stole my land

I think I have figured out what is happening, and if I'm right then this is definitely a bug! If you load the "before" autosave and change you controlled faction to Castille you can see that 1) Castille has no events they can use to take Beira 2) Castille is already at war with Iberian Ord...
