Smaller Army Sizes?

Is it feasible to play FOG with smaller size armies? I'm thinking somewhere around 30-35 stands rather than 60-70 stands. This means half as many Battle Groups (six is what I have in mind), some with perhaps 2 fewer stands than usual. Here's a Gallic list, for instance: 1 FC 1 TC 3x Warrior BGs (6 s...

Manchester is pretty far for me, just over 2 hours I think. I might make it for future events, but I don't have a FoG army yet (I'm new to ancients), and I will only have one assembled and painted up a few months down the road.

How many models?

Hey, I am considering picking up two armies (early Roman and Gallic). Can anyone give me a rough estimate of how many 28mm miniatures each of these armies would require at 800 points? I'm not asking for stands, just actual figurines (for reasons of expense, painting time etc)... thanks! Also, 28mm i...

I could certainly show up at Hobby Bunker for large events. Regular trips would be less likely, however.

Aww, that's officially forever! I guess I'll just sit on my hands until June or July when it's due out.

Where are the early German Tribes?

I'm considering doing an early German warband (the kind that fought the Celts and the Romans in and around the time of Caesar). What book covers this army list?

Manchester is a two hour drive for me, but I would definitely show up for tournaments or big scenarios and game days. Well, we're talking preliminary (depending on interest) about doing a May 10th FoG tournament in 15mm at the Time Machine. Interested? Peter Maybe! I still have to get the rules, lo...

So I'm confused. Is the $35 product identical to the $50 product? Or does the $50 product include two supplement army lists while the $35 has no army lists? Or is the extra 15 bucks just so I get a beta copy of the game with the regular book? Thanks,

How much does it cost?

The Slitherine website is selling FoG for $49.99 USD and the Osprey website is selling it for $34.95. Which is right, what's the difference between the two offerings?
