That is correct, but I would think you would have an advantage elsewhere since the costs are significantly different. (The Bushi are 60 pts, the legionaries are 84 pts.)

Yes, I have looked at Eureka also, but have read that they are for an earlier period, more 13th century. Is that correct?

Late 15th Century Samurai

I am looking at making a late 15th century samurai army. What should I be looking for in the miniatures in regards to equipment (armor, sashimonos?)

I know Essex, 2 dragons, Peter Pig and Old Glory make them which would be more appropriate for this period?

Thanks in advance,

The bushi are armored, so they get a 2nd POA that offsets the 2 ++ that the pike get.

I think I have heard of Simple Green being used to strip paint without damaging the plastic underneath. Just soaking for a couple days supposedly worked.

Commanders in front rank

If you have a BG fighting in two directions and the general is fighting in the front rank does he affect all the bases in the BG? Alternatively do you have to nominate which "front rank" he is fighting in?

Thanks,
Chris

One thing I think would be good is to have a button that sorts the list in march order.

Just don't get auto primer, as I believe it expands as it dries (filling in some detail).

On a side note, how does this apply for an artillery BG? Is there pursuit when an artillery BG loses a base?

The special campaign section of the list has "Medizing" Greeks that can have 0-16 armored hoplites.

I seem to remember seeing one list that requires the IC for a special campaign (maybe Ancient Spanish?). I would think that if it was required for the Carthaginians, it would have a line stating an IC is required along with the troops for Hannibal in Italy. At least that is my view.

Ugaritic/Syro-Canaanite Chariots

Does anyone have any good references for the colors used on the chariots?

Thanks,

There are a huge amount of manufacturers, but I think Corvus Belli is very good. Plus they have pics of everything on their website.

Just to let you know, lately it has become cheaper to buy Essex direct from the UK. For example, a Mid Repub Roman Army is ~$100 + Shipping at Wargames and ~$76 including shipping from Essex UK. This is due to the exclusion of the VAT tax and a favorable exchange rate.

Just to let you know, the link for the E. North African Dynasties goes to the Abbasid page. Thanks for all the hard work on these pages, it helps to have a central spot for this info. Especially for the newcomers.
