Does anyone have any good references for the colors used on the chariots?

Chris, honestly, no. I don't ever remember reading anyone who does and I guessed when I did mine. Best bet would be to try the AncMed Yahoo group and ask Nigel Tallis. I think the correct address for the group is 'http://games.groups.yahoo.com/group/ancmed'.

Not sure, but you can give a look also to Egyptian ones. They had contacts, so some similarities can exist.
