Re: LRR List suggestions

As many legions as possible. 2 or 3 BG of lights to delay and superior cav.
The army wins through the legions, anything else waters it down.

Re: Britcon- Anyone want a game Thursday evening or Friday D

Hi
is anyone able to lend me some terrain for the comp? Not too keen to bring it all the way with me, and lug it around for the whole 2 weeks of my holidays.
I don't need a full range, just some generic stuff. I can PM a list of exactly what I need...
Thanks

Re: Can MF ( impact foot ) throw Javelins in the shooting ph

Surely the purpose of the points system is to ensure that armies are balanced. And there is nothing unbalanced about the B+G armies, despite the "free" shooting.

If there's a cheesy freebie out there then surely it's armies such as Early Medieval German that get free dismounting... ;)

Re: Can MF ( impact foot ) throw Javelins in the shooting ph

Anyway, from our last game Brian I believe the problem wasn't the Mayan shooting, it was that your longbowmen couldn't hit the side of a barndoor :)

Re: Can MF ( impact foot ) throw Javelins in the shooting ph

Page 80 says bases that have a shooting capability in their troop description in the army list books can shoot. Pretty clear.

And the Blood and Gold book came after the main rules so is surely an addition.

Attacking a fortified camp

I have a unit of light horse in contact with the enemy's fortified camp. So far I have been unsuccessful in attempting to sack it.

Am I free to move away in the next move phase, or am I deemed to be in combat and therefore have to wait til it finishes?

getting some use out of my Early Crusader knights

So I picked up some Legio Heroica Early Crusaders. Stunning figures, but is there a list that is even halfway decent that makes use of them? Or am I consigned to running the full Early Crusader list and getting hammered every time?

Any suggestions?

basing Aztec military orders

Hi

what is the best way to depict the various Military Orders within an Aztec army?

Should they all be mixed in together, or should the different Orders be on separate bases or even separate battle groups?

Cheers
