Flank March question

Post by Scrumpy »

Do Cavalry that intend to dismount as Infantry be flank marched? If so, do they roll as Mounted or Foot?

I'm not sure it's covered in the rules, but to me it makes sense that they would roll as mounted. They will ride to get there and dismount 'just off the board' and form up. The roll (to my mind) is about getting tired and lost, which is easier for foor than mounted *shrug*

Well as a user of Early Medieval Germans I think it is clearly covered in the rules.

1. If you buy the troops as cavalry they flank march as cavalry
2. They test to arrive as cavalry
3. When they arrive and are "first deployed on the table" 21-11 they can dismount HF

Brilliant! :D
