Hi eggmanrc,
I agree that disembarking a unit in a friendly harbour (if the transport has one or more movement points left) should be implemented as well (a tactical and realistic improvement).
I believe units that land on a coastal hex are unable to do an attack in that round.
So in the case of ...

Re: Amphibious Landings
Making an amphibious assault would only be successful if you supress that hex sufficiently (or use a strong marines unit).

Amphibious Landings
I think this is an area where Panzer Corps is a little weak. As it is now it is impossible to land if there is a unit occupying a coastal hex. To correct this I'd like to propose the following.
Amphibious Landing Rules:
- A unit landing to a coastal hex should be able to perform an attack on that ...

Amphibious Landing Rules
Amphibious Landing Rules:
- A unit landing to a coastal hex should perform an attack on that hex if it is occupied.
- The attack will suffer penalties based on what type of unit is trying to make the landing (maybe some unit types cannot even perform an amphibious attack).

Re: New Re-inforcement Rules
Using the "equipment pool" model, will allow map makers much more flexibility and ease to create and custom design maps allowing for many different strategies and/or enhancing their historical accuracy. Basically we add a new variable to the supply system (a one variable system, i.e prestige only ...

More features that could be great for Panzer Corps:
Supply lines (- see previous posts).
Feature for supply lines: Units that start out of supply receive penalty to movement (- except for para troopers and partisans)
If a unit is out of supply, it will not be able to reinforce by using the ...

Pip,
Thanks, you were right. The password I was entering (manually) was not the right one. I finally got it to work

Re: Password issues when reinstalling on new PC
Thanks for the suggestions, I appreciate it.
I've now tried and verified logging in while the old computer was turned off. Unfortunately it still gives me invalid username or password, so I suspect that there must be some sort of check against hardware. Perhaps it checks the MAC address of the ...

Password issues when reinstalling on new PC
I've upgraded to a new computer and I re-installed Panzer Corps on the new computer.
However, when I use my log-in and password it refuses to allow me to log in, stating that either the user name or the password is incorrect.
So, I tested it on my old computer and there it works.
Is there a way to ...

Re: New Re-inforcement Rules
Also keep in mind with this type of system you would have a lot of freedom to custom design maps so no map would necessarily be predictable. There could also be a random factor for replenishing the re-inforcements pool. And it would be easy to set up "difficulty" adjusters.

New Re-inforcement Rules
Panzer Corps is a great and well designed game. That said, there still is some room for improvement!
One area that I think would improve the overall game quality, strategy and design is the re-inforcement mechanism.
Here is my suggestion to improve that part of the game:
1. Each turn (for each ...

Re: PBEM Issues
The chess mode option would work, or a slider where you could configure the random generator. I think I prefer a bit more realistic outcomes.

Re: PBEM Issues
I must agree with Lionheart.
Here's an example:
I have a 10 strength Panzer IVG about to attack a 13 strength Conscript (Russian). The odds are 6-0 in my favor according to crosshair. The Consript is on a clear terrain hex and has no artillery support. Neither unit is supressed. That's a no brainer ...

***Re-design of REINFORCEMENTS***
I'd like to see the following game design features improved:
NEW REINFORCEMENTS DESIGN:
- Each turn (for each side) starts with a reinforcement phase (this is before the Movement/Battle phase)
During the reinforcement phase the player (human and AI) has an opportunity to reinforce units that are ...
