Re: War of the Spanish Succession campaign

That's a no! In the defensive battle, from my point of view, the Alliance was slaughtered 3 - 49, or something like that, not surprisingly I am trying to erase it from my memory. The other battle is more even, could it be otherwise? However at my doctors recommendation I have retreated to Madeira fo...

Re: Thirty Years War Danish Phase

PeterThePainter’s Imperial army (1619 -1632) has defeated Ironclad’s Danish army (1625 – 1629), 23 -52. The Imperial forces had a slight numerical superiority whilst the Danes had more units. The Danes tried to make their superior number of cavalry units on their right count but despite some success...

Re: War of the Spanish Succession campaign

Hi

I would prefer the Allies but I can act like a corpulent Bourbon if desired. I am not picky about the theatre of war, happy to go where I am assigned.

Re: Thirty Years War Bohemia

History is being repeated in Bohemia. Peter the Painter (Imperials) 17% routed Dilly (Bohemians) 44% routed. My opponent sensibly set up with his flanks anchored in two forests filled with lights and arquebusiers and his centre held by Tercios. Unfortunately for the Bohemians the Imperial Tercios ju...

Re: The Thunder of Hooves

Gribol has been elected as Hetman of all the Cossacks after he beat me by 51% to 26%. He controlled the forest which was the only real feature on the battlefield, my massed arquebus advanced into a wall of lead and the number of broken units grew and grew. Well played Sir.....now we march to victor...

Re: Rise and Fall of the Shun Dynasty Campaign

Sichuan Province has been recaptured by Kong Youde, defeating the mighty Chengzong 35 -66. Two points to make about the battle. Firstly I would like to claim this as a great victory for the Qing but unfortunately it was a Southern Rebel army I was leading so that isn't true. Secondly, I would like t...

The French have surrendered at Sedan. The Prussians were winning 29 -46 at the time but beginning to doubt that they had the resources to clear the French out of Sedan as casualties were mounting. The French cavalry made a break out to the North East of Givenne and despite being shot up by the infan...

The screenshot is correct. It is designed so that the Prussians have to beat the French to score a victory anything else is a French victory. Well done for holding off the Prussian horde (sorry stepped out of character then).

Dali 937 – 1046 with Song 1005 - 1060 Allies have defeated Chinese (Guiyi) 851 – 1036 with Khitan Allies. Score 28 -56. The Guiyi had a nice hill in one corner of the battlefield so decided to occupy that. The Dali didn’t fancy standing around doing nothing so decided to wheel on their right flank a...

Re: Thirty Years War Campaign

I have just completed the campaign which ended in a 312 -299 victory for the Imperials, they won 3 battles to the Protestants 2. So the five battles at a leisurely pace over 3 months. We opted for large armies on the basis that these were representative of set piece battles of the appropriate period...
