What an intriguing mod - and with a refreshingly uncomplicated premise for the tournament! I would like to try my luck with the Tang 923 - 936 AD army please Gavin.

I am just starting to get into the Silk Road lists. First the later period ones in FoGM and now the FoG2 list. Interesting armies to explore. Sign me up for Liang for the first round, thanks.

Just to be different, I'll chose the worthy Manchurian Khitans, and try to recreate the Great Liao dynasty

You seem over subscribed, but if you can make the numbers work I'd be happy to play.

Zhou, but whatever works there much the same.

Welcome, the more the merrier Mark. It's nice to see another reliable player and good interest in the Silk Road. While an even number of players is desirable, it is not essential as I can always bow out, or in, depending on the number of registered players. :D

Gavin I see that there are 19 Chinese, 3 Japanese, 4 Korean & 7 Mongols in the FOGM Silk Rd ( there maybe more )
so I was wondering about Rounds 3 & 4 ?

The FOGM challenge using the Yuan and Ming Dynasties will be a separate two battle challenge Brian.

Can two players have the same army ?
There are only 6 armies but more than 6 players ?

In the first round they can Brian. Although, only the winner can use Song in the second round.

I may have to add more options in the second round as there are more players than expected. However, this should not be a problem.

Possible changes could be...
  • Add Chinese (Guiyi Army)
  • Two options for some or all choices
  • Add Dali, who were friendly to the Song but remained independent.
  • Add Western Xia (Tanguts) army as the default option when all others are chosen.
I'll post an updated second round list as soon as the numbers are confirmed.
