Everything except Field Marshal is for wimps but always save and load to get the outcomes you like now that Hypocrisy at it's best. It's not hypocrisy. It is just being careful. If you want to see and play the other scenarios, this way you can go back everywhere. I did that in Stalingrad, when I fi...

What I do not like about the AI (FM level) is that it just clogs the towns. It has prestige, it buys 6 units around the town and lets them stay there. Quite often there are good defensive positions in the vicinity that could be used, but aren't. So what I like for the AI (on the defense): - strategi...

Use Field Marshal. Everything else is for wimps. Save before you end each turn. Then play until you get shredded to pieces by the Russians and Allied invasions. Then remember where it all started to go wrong and start to play from there again. If you play with Colonel you just waste a lot of time. B...

Your observations are justified. Results of the battles can vary a lot and be very different from the predictions. This can happen even when there is no artillery nearby. It is, however, a two-sided issue, since the predictions can vary to your favor as well. An outcome that you do not notice as oft...

Well, you identify a problem, which is: Air Defense doesn't hit Level Bombers. So first of all it is a question, whether this is a problem at all. I think Level Bombers work pretty much as intended. They are a valuable tool, but have a more strategic effect by offering suppression and reducing prest...

Not being able to take the city makes no sense to me. In the main campaign I was often a bit angry about that, esp. in Barbarossa, when my tanks flanked a city, Infantry took it, and artillery moved in for protection of the tanks. Or in France, when my deep advance had only a few units that had to m...

I know that we could make the rules in this aspect a lot more advanced, but naval rules in general were intentionally made simple in PzC, because this game is mostly ground and air centric. So, evade rules fit in this overall simplified approach. I do agree that naval-based scenarios, like Hunters,...

Is it possible to influence the evade roll of submarines
Hi community, i am currently playing "Hunters in the Atlantic" against a friend, and really like the scenario. There is, however, a sore point. Evasion of submarines. How does this work? And can I influence it somehow? There were multiple occurences of my best destroyers hitting the blank ...

Because they have elite officers that have seen many a battle and can give an accurate estimate of the situation at hand and have the ability to assess possible risk with higher accuracy and report that to high commandRudankort wrote:Why would we want to make this a feature of elite units specifically?

Rudankort, could you give your opinion on making the predictions more reliable the more experience a unit has? Is it even feasible? Well, before I can comment on this, how exactly is this supposed to work? Let's say, the prediction generated by the game is X1-Y1. Real battle results you are going t...

Please don't make it sound as if I am repressing your freedom to post on these forums. Hi Molve, this was not my intention at all :-) I just thought we had a little misunderstanding about what we were actually talking about. My only comment regarding your numbers is: okay so you have proved that be...

Please don't turn this thread into an argument, Flint. Well, that's what forum discussions are for, aren't they? And, btw, I did not argue against your stating that actual results are a better basis to document the experience engine. This is certainly correct. Having the same combats repeated a tho...
