Re: Panzer Corps 2 vs Panzer Corps 1
Same, but I dont get the PG3 vibe from PC2.JagdpanzerIV wrote: ↑Tue Aug 18, 2020 5:05 am Thanks for the feedback.
I'm a bit worried because back in time, i loved panzer general 1 and 2 but hated panzer general 3.
I really like the customisation that the Heroes give you.

Re: Laying Mines
probably best not to make mine laying a general ability considering what i did in company of heroes in the 1st main campaign map (after the dday landings intro). proceed to lay as many mines as possible in the east to disrupt the convoy resulting in massive carnage and explosions in the FOW as the g...

Re: Ideas for Panzer Corps 2
Can I suggest a small QoL interface change here? Some of the 1939 scenarios in the recent DLC have a shedload of mines which all appear on the ingame unit menu (left panel) and aircraft at the bottom - my poor scroll finger! Is there a need to keep the minefields in this menu or at lease can the uni...

Re: Sevastopol
Some of those forts have guns that can reach out to three hexes, and they hit hard as well. Gustav has pretty good ground defence, but it isn't so high that you want to use it to trade shots with enemy arty unless you are certain you can kill the enemy unit with one attack. Some of the forts have a...

Re: Axis Operations FAQ and Tips
I don't want anyone to have their expectations raised too high on this, so I will be very honest about this feature. It is strictly limited to specific historical scenarios and circumstance. It is NOT an ability for normal units to invoke at will at this time. Spoilers.... it plays a role in the Sa...

Re: Axis Operations FAQ and Tips
Excellent stuff, and just in time too as the base game was a bit played out for me!
I am intrigued by how the mine laying will work and if it will be available as a standard ability (for engies?) or be limited to specific scenarios/circumstances.

Re: Panzer Corps 2 - Spanish Civil War || Dev Diary #1
This looks excellent, really looking forward to it! One thing i picked up on was mine laying- will this be limited to specific scenarios or a more general ability? Hopefully the latter as I will abuse the hell out of it just for the lolz  Are there any plans to incorporate any of these feat...

Re: Weekly Unit Discussion Thread
Usually run with 2 X 15s and 1 X 17 in Russia. The arty support is vital in securing moscow and stalingrad. In such scenarios I mostly use them in defensive offence. That is advancing into the city, taking a defensive position with the arty supporting the infantry and letting the counterattacking in...

Camouflage in AT supporting the line. Stick a recon or other weak unit in front as bait. Late campaign with an experienced unit you can take out 3-4 enemy armour in a single turn

Submarines do a fair bit of damage when used effectively and dont have to worry about air attack and support fire.

Is there a potential balance issue with limiting supply to specific hexes or similar? Just take and hold the supply hex and you've won.

Re: Ack Ack Won't Ack!?
In some games (can't remember which), small-calibre AA guns such as 20mm can only engage low-flying aircraft (fighters and light bombers), but won't fire at anything flying at medium altitude (tac bombers) or high altitude (strategic bombers). It makes good realistic sense, so perhaps if AA guns in...

Re: Flame tank uses?
They are pretty terrible in general, yes, with the saving grace of OT-34s having decent stats for the # of core slots they require, but that's about it. With the right heroes they will likely be your strongest units, as a 15-strength Flammpanzer with Vigilance or No Retaliation and Rapid Fire will ...

Re: Soviet infantry moving across rivers?
That's not the same. This is inf moving fully across a river in 1 move, without stopping on it. it is the same, the river defence line was my reaction to the river hopping, the Ai infantry still tried it en masse. I put in a blocking force with arty and they just kept on coming instead of me having...

Re: Soviet infantry moving across rivers?
It would also need to be included on the tool tip in-game so that players that don't read the forums understand what's going on! I don't think it stops minor rivers being reasonable places to make a defensive line. If left unguarded they become little more than a speed bump - which is all they real...
