Re: Battle Academy is now available on Steam

Will there be an OSX version on Steam? I just used my free Steam key and get the message that there is no version for my current platform.

Re: Home of Wargamers 2014 - Be Part Of It!

What is the time schedule for the 2 days and are there any restrictions (arrival day / time) with regards to the transportation to and from the hotel? (sure looks like a great opportunity and if I can use a cheap EasyJet flight it maybe within my reach)

Re: Slitherine will be at SPIEL 2013 ESSEN

Will we be able to order World in Flames and the optional maps via the UK when it is released?
Shipping from the US means dealing with customs and a hefty tax.

Might even be cheaper to have a go at one of the 50 copies at Essen :D

I agree that he current windowed mode is not that useful now. Even if the mouse issues can be solved the window is tiny on a normal Mac desktop. Tested with the new BA Beta today. The startup screen closed when running windowed mode this time. The startup screen remembers previous options now. (jay!...

BA Mac Beta on Lion

Just upgraded to Lion and did a test with BA. I used windowed mode. In windowed mode BA is playable but the mouse pointer is 'sticky'. You can only leave the window via the TAB, the map scrolling feels a bit off too I sometimes had to use keyboard shortcuts to see the map. I don't remember seeing th...

A small update. I used a save from just before the crash loaded the situation and forced the computer to go to sleep. After waking up BA was running as normal. Tried it in a running game and from the option screen. It all worked normal so resuming after sleep mode is not a problem. Maybe the applica...

I only switched of the backlite ( the only way to switch off the screen and keep the computer running) but I guess that after 1 hour the sleep function kicks in.

Most Mac apps survive the sleep function. If you are interested in the Mac crash dump I can mail it to you.

Mac Beta first impressions

Did the tutorial missions and the first 2 missions from the Western Dessert campaign. The game looks good and I'm impressed at how speedy it plays (modest iMac with 3.06 Mhz Intel Core 2 Duo , 4 GB, 256 MB ATI Radeon HD 4670). Some things you might want to look into: Startup screen always defaults t...

Need Mac Beta serial

Don't have the PC version so I need a serial to participate in testing.

(will gladly buy this if it runs OK on my iMac)

Not much time but I could do some tests I guess.

I have an iMac 3.06 GHz, ATI Radeon HD 4670 256 MB so I could at least confirm if the hardware is compatible. No experience with the PC version. (play Field of Glory on the Mac)
