THIS YOUR CHANCE TO GET BEHIND THE WALLS AND DISCOVER THE FUTURE OF WARGAMING

Every year we organize the Slitherine Group's Annual Press Conference HOME OF WARGAMERS and we invite our development partners to present the games to our media friends. Each edition adds something special: in 2012 we hosted the event in Stresa and for the first time we had live coverage that hundreds of players followed in the forums. Last year, we hosted it in Fredericksburg, Virginia alongside Historicon.

This year we have reserved some space for you!

For the first time, anyone from the community, fans and players will be able to get a sneek peak at what to expect from us in 2014 and beyond. But that's not all, you'll have the chance to meet the developers, talk to them and PLAY GAMES.

All this in one of the most historically interesting places of Northern Italy: The Castle of Pavone Canavese, a magnificent place with over thirteen centuries of history.

It's going to be three days of fun and games, with developers such as The Lordz Games Studio, VR Designs, Flashback Games, Polar Motion, Ageod and many others attending!

The event takes place from Wednesday May 14th to Friday May 16th and we have two packages available:

Margrave Conrad Package

Shared double room (with one other guest) for two nights (14th and 15th of May)
Transportation from airport to and from hotel
Three Lunches and two dinners including King's Arduin's Dinner and the Gala Dinner (+ drinks)
Access to all presentations and gaming rooms

€ 300,00 all included (approx £265/$409)

King Arduin Package

Single room for two nights (14th and 15th of May)
Transportation from airport to and from hotel
Three Lunches and two dinners including King's Arduin's dinner and the Gala Dinner (+ drinks)
Access to all presentations and gaming rooms

€ 400,00 all included (approx £353/$545)

As you can imagine, we only have limited availability, so if you want to be part of it, hurry up and book you space!

Other important information
The Castle of Pavone Canavese is about 30 minutes drive from Turin's International Airport and 45 minutes drive from Milan Malpensa International Airport. To check direction to the hotel and accessibility information, visit the official site of the Castle.

We will be keeping this thread updated with news about the event so check back for details.

Here are some spectacular images of the hotel & conference centre!

I've added approximate £ and $ charges but these can vary as prices fluctuate.

Currently its about £265/$409 for the shared double room and £353/$545 for the single room.

Note VAT is already included so the only extra expense is getting there :)

If only I had the money to travel to this truly breath taking castle. My guess is its history goes way back to maybe the end of Roman Times or a bit after that at the birth of the Dark Ages?

According to Yahoo Travel:

"Magnificent medieval castle built above the village between the 9th and 14th centuries."

What is the time schedule for the 2 days and are there any restrictions (arrival day / time) with regards to the transportation to and from the hotel? (sure looks like a great opportunity and if I can use a cheap EasyJet flight it maybe within my reach)
